- Sansiri announces its mission to plant trees for Bangkok, aligning with Governor Chatchart's policy of 'Planting One Million Trees to Create Green Spaces and Dust Barriers Across the City.'
- The tree planting mission set a target of 20,000 trees, but in 2022, it exceeded expectations by planting 90,000 trees, including over 8,000 large trees that absorb 76 tons of carbon dioxide annually, from 46 new projects. This includes the collaboration of Sansiri residents and employees planting trees together during Sansiri Tree Day, aiming to cultivate sustainability and lasting happiness.
- The "Bangkok Krungthep Community" zone has the highest number of trees planted, totaling 16,500 trees, while "Burasiri Bangkok Krungthep" leads in horizontal projects, and "XT Phaya Thai" tops in vertical projects for tree planting.
- Introducing 'Sansiri Tree Story,' the process of collecting, selecting, planting, and maintaining trees as part of Sansiri's DNA... Over the past 10 years, more than 200,000 trees have been planted, including 12,000 large trees that help Bangkok absorb 114 tons of carbon dioxide annually.
- Get ready for the first-ever tree planting inspiration exhibition in Thailand! An Online Exhibition and On-ground Exhibition at Sansiri projects, featuring shared images of happiness in the green nature of Sansiri projects, with a total prize of 250,000 baht in the Sansiri Tree Story Photo Contest.

Mr. Uthai Uthaisangsuak, CEO of Sansiri Public Company Limited, stated, "Sansiri recognizes the environmental issues and global warming that impact life, health, and the changing climate in Thailand and our world. Therefore, we are committed to creating a sustainable environmental turning point by being the first real estate company in Thailand to aim for net-zero greenhouse gas emissions to ensure sustainability in all dimensions. The problems of global warming and dust from insufficient trees and green spaces in Bangkok, including PM 2.5 dust, are critical issues that adversely affect the health and daily lives of Bangkok residents. In 2021, Bangkok residents inhaled dust equivalent to smoking 1,261 cigarettes per year, which is why Sansiri supports the 'Planting One Million Trees' policy to create green spaces and serve as a dust barrier for Bangkok Governor Chatchart Sittipunt, with the mission to plant 20,000 trees in Bangkok as soon as possible."

Planting and maintaining trees to create as many green spaces as possible has been Sansiri's business philosophy for over 38 years since its establishment, starting with the 'Sansiri Tree Story' model for sustainable management of green spaces and trees in projects, under the commitment to collect – select – plant – and maintain large trees alongside projects. Plus Property, which manages the projects, helps care for the trees to ensure sustainable growth, trained by professional arborists, to pass on the value of trees to Sansiri residents and the value of green spaces to future generations. In the past 10 years, Sansiri has planted over 200,000 trees in more than 100 Sansiri projects, including over 12,000 large trees that help absorb carbon for the world by over 114 tons of carbon dioxide annually. Additionally, over 1,000 large trees have been preserved on existing land, and this environmental DNA has also been passed on to other businesses that Sansiri invests in, such as The Standard Hua Hin, where Sansiri has preserved over 200 large trees on the original land and planted over 3,000 new trees.

Mr. Uthai continued, "Although the mission to plant trees for Bangkok set by Sansiri is at 20,000 trees, we believe that planting trees and creating green spaces is beneficial not only for Sansiri residents and Bangkok people but also helps reduce global warming, which is a critical problem for the world's population. Therefore, Sansiri aims to plant a total of over 90,000 trees in 2022, including over 8,000 large trees that help absorb carbon for the world by 76 tons of carbon dioxide annually. This figure comes from Sansiri's plan to plant in over 46 new projects and unite Sansiri employees and residents in all projects to plant trees on 'Sansiri Tree Day' to cultivate sustainability and lasting happiness. There will be a record of the growth of the trees, accumulating oxygen points, and creating good air for this world together in August and throughout 2022."

The residential zone with the most trees planted by Sansiri in 2022 is 'Bangkok Krungthep Community', which includes the Narasiri, Burasiri, Bukan projects, and the central road, with over 16,500 trees planted. The horizontal project with the most trees planted in 2022 is 'Burasiri Bangkok Krungthep', set to launch in August, with over 300 large trees and another 8,000 trees of various species. The condominium project with the most trees planted is 'XT Phaya Thai', featuring 110 large trees and over 1,500 other trees.

Mr. Uthai discussed the organization of the Sansiri Tree Story Photo Contest, stating, "Sansiri wants to be part of a society that inspires and encourages Bangkok residents and all Thais to plant more trees by organizing the Sansiri Tree Story Photo Contest, where Sansiri families and the general public can share and participate in a photo contest capturing joyful moments in the green spaces of Sansiri projects, with a total prize of up to 250,000 baht. Selected works will be exhibited at the tree planting inspiration exhibition, which will be held for the first time in Thailand, in both Online Exhibition and On-ground Exhibition formats at Sansiri projects soon.

Those interested in participating in the Sansiri Tree Day Photo Contest are invited to share their Happy Green Moment, my happiness in the green natural atmosphere of Sansiri projects, for a chance to win a total prize of over 250,000 baht.
