Frasers Property Thailand is advancing its business development with an ESG approach, launching 3 key projects in the residential real estate sector at the beginning of the year, focusing on enhancing social and environmental care. The company has announced plans to install solar roofs in premium single-family home projects and implement efficient waste management processes across all projects to minimize environmental impact. Additionally, it aims to improve the quality of life for labor families in construction camps, emphasizing well-being and access to education to contribute to a sustainable and livable society in the long term.

Mr. Somboon Wasinchachawan, Acting CEO of the Residential Property Group at Frasers Property (Thailand) Public Company Limited, stated that the company is committed to providing sustainable living spaces, considering environmental, social, and governance (ESG) dimensions to create quality housing for today’s society that can be sustainably passed on to future generations. With the concept of Sustainable Living for the Next Generation, the company has continuously engaged stakeholders through various projects, covering the enhancement of residents' living conditions, community care, and responsible environmental management.

“The first project to be initiated in 2024 will involve installing solar roofs in all new premium single-family home projects, including show homes, sales offices, clubhouses, and common areas across more than 70 projects. This initiative aims to harness clean solar energy for household use, targeting a power generation capacity of no less than 1.5 megawatts, equivalent to planting 100,000 trees per year, which could save up to 26,400 baht in electricity costs annually. The installed solar roofs will provide comprehensive usage, making us the first in this regard,” Mr. Somboon added.

At the same time, the company is advancing environmental projects in collaboration with employees and residents, such as at The Royal Residence Kaset-Nawamin, Prestige Future Rangsit, and Grandio Bangna Km. 5, which educate residents on proper waste management practices. The goal is to implement these initiatives in at least 50% of all completed projects, including waste management in ongoing developments, focusing on construction waste management from sorting, landfilling, recycling, and managing wastewater generated from construction to minimize environmental impact.

Furthermore, to enhance the quality of life for people in society, especially in areas where the company operates, the labor force and children in construction camps are another group of stakeholders that the company prioritizes. With a business perspective that leaves no one behind, the company has initiated the Frasers Property Share Dreams, Share Smiles project, starting at the Prestige Sathorn project, in collaboration with the Building Social Impact Initiative (BSI) to improve infrastructure in construction camps for safety and hygiene, supporting access to various welfare services, including healthcare vaccinations and educational systems.

“The company is ready to continue expanding social and environmental projects to create a broader positive impact on society, believing that these initiatives will enhance living conditions and the quality of life for people, as well as contribute to long-term environmental care. This can be seen as delivering a good living experience to stakeholders, aligning with Frasers Property's brand ethos of creating spaces for lasting positive experiences,” Mr. Somboon concluded.
