Beger Advances Colorful Bang Lamphu Project to Brighten Bangkok with Eco-Friendly Colors
Beger, a leader in innovative eco-friendly paints, led by Dr. Worawat Chaiyossaporn, CEO of Beger Group, along with volunteer employees, participated in the opening ceremony of the “Colorful Bang Lamphu” project. This initiative builds upon the urban revitalization efforts in the old city areas of Khlong Phadung Krung Kasem, Khlong Oi Ang, Khlong Ku Muang Deem, and Khlong Bang Lamphu. They presented the eco-friendly paint product “Beger Cool” to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chatchart Sitthiphan, Governor of Bangkok, and engaged in painting buildings and enhancing the landscape along the banks of Khlong Bang Lamphu to restore its vibrancy while preserving its cultural heritage.

Beger has supported the “Beger Cool” carbon-reducing, eco-friendly paint for landscape improvement in this project, with a total value exceeding 280,000 baht. This marks a continuation of their collaboration with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration on social initiatives, including the Beautiful Colors, Beautiful Gardens, and Bangkok Landscape Improvement projects in 2023. The “Colorful Bang Lamphu” event features a selection of colors from a special palette, including Ruby Red from the Auspicious Colors palette and other shades such as 139-1 Carbon Coal, 117-6 Run for the Roses, 117-5 Victoria Vanity, 121-5 Raspberry Ice, 122-6 Regal Rose, and 114-5 Rose Trellis. These colors not only stand out for their beauty and durability but also help cool buildings through innovative ceramic cooling technology that reflects and blocks heat. Additionally, Beger Cool paint contributes to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, making Bangkok a more livable city with truly eco-friendly colors.
The “Colorful Bang Lamphu” project spans from the Uthasawat Bridge intersection to the Narathiwat Bridge intersection, covering a total distance of 200 meters. A total of 29 historic buildings with unique architectural styles are participating in the project. This area is part of the Rattanakosin Island and its adjacent zones, so Bangkok has chosen colors that reflect the local identity, as seen in the murals, and incorporates local nature into the color selection for this initiative. The goal is to revitalize the landscape of the Bang Lamphu area, which holds significant value for Bangkok, enhancing its beauty and encouraging the public to engage more in the newly developed public spaces along the canal. This also supports the upcoming Colorful Bangkok activities in the Bang Lamphu area.
