They have partnered with Sri Trang Gloves (Thailand) Public Company Limited (STGT), a leading rubber glove manufacturer, to expand environmental management collaboration. This partnership will study the use of waste materials and by-products from the rubber glove industry as alternative fuel in cement production (Waste to Energy) to reduce environmental impact, reinforcing resource management principles in line with the circular economy.

Ms. Umaporn Charoensak (Waste Circularity Business Director) of SCIE Eco Services Co., Ltd. stated that the purpose of signing this agreement with Sri Trang Gloves (Thailand) Public Company Limited or STGT is to further develop, study, and exchange knowledge on sustainable environmental management according to circular economy policies, while promoting the efficient use of resources. This will involve studying management methods for waste materials and other by-products from rubber glove production, such as fly ash and sludge from wastewater treatment, through the exchange of raw material management and management systems. This aims to reduce waste materials into substitutes or alternative energy, maximizing resource efficiency and sustainability while minimizing environmental impact.

“This is an extension of our collaboration and a continuation of the success from August 2022 between STGT and Siam Refractory Industry Co., Ltd. (SRIC) through the Green Circular by CPAC Green Solution project, which adds value to unused materials or waste by reusing molds used in the production of high-quality rubber gloves from STGT. These molds, after use, are repurposed as recycled raw materials for producing refractory materials, maximizing the benefits of unused materials or waste and contributing to the overall economy of the country. Green Circular has a network of cement factories and other industries, such as refractory materials, in the central, northern, and southern regions that can process waste materials into raw materials and fuel through co-processing, effectively managing circular resources,”

Mr. Witanat Sinjaroenkul, Director and Chairman of the Corporate Governance and Sustainable Development Committee of Sri Trang Gloves (Thailand) Public Company Limited (STGT), stated that the previous collaboration between STGT and SRIC in the project to add value to used materials has been very successful. Since August 2022, Sri Trang Gloves has delivered approximately 557 tons of used glove molds to SRIC, with a target of 1,600 tons this year. The signing of this agreement will enhance waste material management and expand research on managing waste materials and other by-products from rubber glove production, such as fly ash and wastewater treatment sludge, to study Waste to Energy and Waste to Material, supporting the promotion of clean energy and aligning with STGT's sustainable business practices under the circular economy principles.

We have an environmentally friendly production process, using 100% biomass fuel from renewable raw materials in the production of Sri Trang Gloves, such as expired rubber trees or rubber trees that have stopped producing latex.
