10 National Public-Private Innovation Network Organizations join forces with 7-Eleven to support and promote SMEs and innovative startups, which are crucial drivers of Thailand's sustainable economic and social development, through the “Thailand Synergy for Thai SMEs 2023” event held grandly for the 10th consecutive year, awarding the “7 Innovation Awards 2023” to 33 SMEs and startups with outstanding innovative achievements. The 'Nim Nim' egg white product and the 'Vulcan' platform for enhancing the careers of people with disabilities won the top innovation awards for economic and social benefits.

Mr. Kosit Chaiyarasmesak Chairman of the Executive Board of CP All Public Company Limited revealed that 7-Eleven has partnered with 10 key national organizations, including the Office of the National Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation Policy Council (NXPO), the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), the National Innovation Agency (Public Organization) (NIA), the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), the Stock Exchange of Thailand, the Office of the Permanent Secretary for Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (PSU), the Thai Business Incubation and Science Park Association (Thai-BISPA), the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Trade of Thailand, the Thai Bankers' Association, and the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion (OSMEP) to organize the “Thailand Synergy for Thai SMEs 2023” event to reflect the collaboration between public and private sectors in uniting efforts to drive and support innovative SMEs, along with the announcement of the “7 Innovation Awards 2023” (Seven Innovation Awards) for the 10th consecutive year.

“It has been a decade since the Thailand Synergy for Thai SMEs event has been part of driving innovation for Thailand towards sustainability. 7-Eleven and the 10 collaborating organizations recognize that for the country to grow robustly in both economic and social systems, innovation is a crucial driving force. The commitment of SMEs and startups, which are the backbone of the country, to seriously develop innovations will help create long-term growth opportunities for the country. Over the past 9 years, Thai SMEs and startups have demonstrated their potential through continuously developed works,” Mr. Kosit stated.

The “Thailand Synergy for Thai SMEs 2023” continues to be organized with the main objective of seeking innovative products from Thai SMEs and startups that have the potential to develop and enhance into innovative products and services that meet consumer needs and gain recognition at the national or global level. Additionally, it provides opportunities for SMEs to test their capabilities in enhancing their innovation potential at the national level. This year, 182 submissions were received for the 7 Innovation Awards 2023, with a total of 33 awards granted, divided into 2 categories: awards for innovations that benefit the economy, covering products, services, or processes, totaling 19 awards, and awards for innovations that benefit society, including environmental, educational aspects, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects, totaling 14 awards.

Winners will have the opportunity to further their business success through various distribution channels, including 7-Eleven stores that are widely distributed across the country, All Online, 7 Delivery in the 7-Eleven application, and Twenty Four Shopping, as well as partner companies in the collaboration network, to facilitate knowledge exchange and enhance the competitive capabilities of Thai SMEs and startups, aligning with the 3 Give Strategy which includes 1. Providing sales channels, 2. Providing knowledge, and 3. Connecting networks, in accordance with 7-Eleven's commitment to continuously support and promote SMEs.

The “Thailand Synergy for Thai SMEs 2023” event and the announcement of the “7 Innovation Awards 2023” were honored by Dr. Sumet Tantivejakul, Secretary-General of the Chaipattana Foundation as the chairman for the social awards, and Dr. Suvit Maesincee former Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation as the chairman for the economic awards. Additionally, Dr. Chaiwat Wibulswasdi Chairman of the judging panel for the 7 Innovation Awards and executives from partner organizations shared insights on the occasion of “A Decade of Thailand Synergy Driving Innovation for Sustainable Thailand.” The event also featured booths showcasing innovative works from past and present awardees, totaling 90 booths.
