Sena, the first real estate developer to install solar panels on every home, is reinforcing its leadership in solar housing with a groundbreaking initiative in the real estate sector. Sena residents can now convert their household carbon credits into tangible value, using them for discounts or purchasing products. Sena Development is participating in the voluntary household carbon market project in collaboration with the Clean Energy Foundation for the People, the National Competitiveness Fund Management Unit, Chiang Mai University, and the Central Group's The 1 Card, allowing residents to exchange their household carbon credits for The 1 points for free.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kesara Thanyalakphak, Managing Director of Sena Development Public Company Limited, stated that Sena prioritizes creating and delivering housing to residents based on the Zero Energy Housing concept. This approach not only ensures comfortable and sustainable living but also minimizes environmental impact while benefiting homeowners. It is a great opportunity for Sena to join the voluntary household carbon market project, collaborating with various organizations to create a unique phenomenon in Thailand by utilizing carbon credits for real benefits, especially for households. Residents with solar panels will have the first chance to participate in this project easily by signing up. The carbon credits generated will automatically convert into The 1 points, allowing for discounts or free purchases. For instance, a resident with a 5kW solar installation can earn approximately 600 points per month, totaling around 7,200 points per year.

We would like to express our gratitude for this initiative that emphasizes the importance of clean energy and allows all sectors to actively participate in environmental care. This aligns with our commitment to developing and innovating renewable energy solutions that meet the needs of Sena residents, including our organizational carbon reduction goals. The Zero Energy Housing concept can help residents save up to 38% on electricity usage while promoting a Decarbonized Lifestyle, making it easy for residents to live sustainably by choosing Sena. Currently, Sena has installed solar roofs for over 1,000 homes across all projects, with a goal this year to reduce carbon emissions by at least 19,800 tons, equivalent to planting over 1,984,800 trees.
