Vimut Holding, a health service provider under Pruksa Holding, collaborates with Namviwat Medical Corporation, a manufacturer, importer, and distributor of cleaning and sterilization equipment for medical devices in hospitals. They are set to establish a joint venture worth 50 million baht to provide cleaning and sterilization services for medical equipment and medical waste treatment services. The shareholding will be divided with Vimut Holding holding 40% and Namviwat 60%, aiming to strengthen the ecosystem within the Vimut group and elevate medical safety standards to a higher level.

Dr. Pichit Kangwankit, Deputy CEO of Pruksa Holding Public Company Limited and Acting CEO of Vimut Holding Hospital, stated that the Vimut group is a Trusted Healthcare Platform that provides seamless services across various sectors, including Vimut Hospital, Vimut-Tephatharin Hospital, Baan Mor Vimut Clinic, and rehabilitation centers offering nursing home services, physical therapy, and online specialist consultations (Telemedicine) utilizing medical technology and innovations (Digital Health Technology) to connect various services. Therefore, to improve operational standards and provide the best services to patients, the Vimut group seeks partners with expertise and potential to support their operations, aiming to strengthen the platform for the benefit of patients and further develop the ecosystem. The Vimut group recognizes the potential and vision of Namviwat Medical Corporation, which has been a backbone of the public health sector in Thailand for 53 years and is a leader in medical innovation and technology specializing in sterile medical supplies. This collaboration is expected to enhance service standards and improve patient safety significantly.

“In addition to providing attentive service and accurate diagnostics, another mission of the Vimut group is to prioritize patient safety, which is a standard that must be maintained and continuously developed. Therefore, we are looking for capable partners to join us in the business. We are honored to collaborate with Namviwat to provide cleaning and sterilization services for medical equipment (Sterile Processing Service) with a skilled team and modern equipment that meets standards. Currently, we are preparing to improve the facilities within Vimut Hospital to support sterile medical supply operations, which will help reduce the working time of support staff in the hospital and enhance patient safety. Additionally, we will provide medical waste sterilization services (Medical Waste Sterilization Service) to meet standards and convert waste into fuel for alternative energy, as well as process and create other products. This offers benefits not only for patients and hospitals but also extends care to the environment and aligns with the sustainability policies of the Vimut group.

The new company plans to provide services across all healthcare facilities within the Vimut group, having already commenced services at Vimut Hospital and is in the process of expanding services within the network. If the initial management is successful, the company will prepare to extend services to private and public sector clients,” Dr. Pichit concluded.

Mr. Wiroj Chaiterdkiat, Board Member and CEO of Namviwat Medical Corporation Public Company Limited (NAM), stated that the company's board has approved the principle of a Joint Venture Agreement between Namviwat Medical Corporation (NAM) and Vimut Holding Hospital (VMH) to establish a joint venture named “Serviso Healthcare Solutions Co., Ltd.” with a 60-40 share ratio. The objective is to provide medical support services to hospitals, clinics, companies, or related agencies, including 1) Sterile Processing Service, 2) Medical Waste Sterilization Service, and 3) Biomedical Engineering Service, both domestically and internationally. The company expects to complete the establishment by Q2 2024, in line with the policy to increase recurring revenue, expand the revenue base, and aim for stable and sustainable long-term growth.

“NAM has been in business for over 50 years, collaborating with various healthcare organizations and being behind the success of many public and private hospitals. The opportunity to partner with the Vimut group is like fastening the first button correctly, as we believe that if partners in the medical service sector cooperate, not only will patients benefit, but it will also extend to the entire public health system in Thailand and enhance medical services,”

Mr. Wiroj added that the company will initially provide Sterile Processing Services and Medical Waste Sterilization Services using steam sterilization technology to hospitals within the network, followed by expanding services to public hospitals and agencies, as well as starting Biomedical Engineering Services next to cover all areas with a Hub and Spoke model, anticipating continuous growth in revenue and profits from these services.
