Britania Partners with Allies to Reinforce the Mission of B The Goodness, Opening the First CRAFT PARK to Provide a Learning Space for Children in Bangkok, Creating a New Landmark for the Udomsuk Community
Britania leads a team of public sector, civil society, and private sector partners to reinforce the mission of B The Goodness by delivering the first CRAFT PARK, a "playground and learning space for children," to the Public Health Service Center 8, Boonrod Rungreung, Bangkok, aiming to create a new creative activity space for children and the community in all dimensions. The design emphasizes sustainable participation, safety for children, and promotes learning both intellectually and physically.

Mr. Surin Sahachartphokanan, Chief Executive Officer of Britania Public Company Limited, or BRI, a leader in real estate development committed to creating sustainable housing for a better society, revealed that after the company announced its collaboration with various public, private, and civil society partners to jointly develop CRAFT PARK, a green public space for the community under a sustainable participatory process, the first location is at the Public Health Service Center 8, Boonrod Rungreung (Soi Udomsuk 18), Bang Na. Recently, the company has delivered the first area, the "playground and learning space for children," in front of the daycare center to the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) for children and community members to use as a creative activity space.

“The playground and learning space for children CRAFT PARK is a model for early childhood learning spaces and serves as proof of our commitment to reinforcing the mission of B The Goodness, which is to create living environments that coexist harmoniously with the surrounding community and a good environment, fostering a sustainable quality society. The global trend is to develop land into green spaces, and we aim to continuously develop model green public spaces under the Craft Park project to promote good health, enhance quality living, and establish safety standards and functionalities that truly meet the needs of the community,” said Mr. Surin.

“Children and play” are inherently linked. At the same time, play areas serve as learning spaces. We believe that the playground and learning space for children CRAFT PARK will help adults understand the importance of developing learning or play areas for children, serving as a gathering space for parents with children at the center. When families are happy and healthy, they will raise strong youth both mentally and physically, preparing them to engage with the outside world,” the statement continued.

Mr. Chatchart Sitthiphan, Governor of Bangkok, stated that the success of the CRAFT PARK project can inspire various sectors to expand the model to other areas. He believes that if different sectors collaborate to develop public spaces, it will improve the quality of life in the developed areas. Therefore, the BMA prioritizes supporting the expansion of such spaces, like the playground and learning space for children CRAFT PARK, which is suitable for the intellectual and physical development of young children. The BMA sees opportunities to expand to the 278 early childhood development centers across Bangkok.

“CRAFT PARK aligns with the BMA's policy of a 15-minute city, aiming to develop urban areas with accessible spaces that promote good health. The CRAFT PARK project has a process that can serve as a model for developing other areas, as it fosters genuine participation from stakeholders throughout the design process and integrates collaboration from the private sector, public sector, and civil society to create spaces that meet the needs of the local community,” Mr. Chatchart added.
The first CRAFT PARK - playground and learning space for children covers an area of 119 square wah, developed to be a model for early childhood learning spaces, focusing on promoting both intellectual and physical development of children in a comprehensive manner suitable for their age, encouraging social development through joint activities. The choice of easy-to-maintain materials emphasizes safety for children, such as using non-toxic rubber flooring, balls, sandboxes, artificial grass, and a highlight feature is the unique design of play equipment crafted specifically for this space, supported by numerous partners, including we!park, a team that surveyed community needs with Britania over three months, and design contributions from Wide Interior, along with over 10 other partners including Land and Houses Bank Public Company Limited, Krungsri Bank Public Company Limited, Kiatnakin Bank Public Company Limited, MMP Construction Materials Co., Ltd., NAS Machinery and Pile Co., Ltd., Sangrit 2559 Co., Ltd., Nippon Paint Decorative Coating (Thailand) Co., Ltd., Betterbee Marketplace Co., Ltd., Security Guard Selection Co., Ltd., and MG Green Co., Ltd.
