The National Housing Authority is responding to the policy of Mr. Warawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Social Development and Human Security, aimed at providing housing security for the First Jobber demographic, allowing them to own their own homes. This initiative is designed to instill pride and motivation in their lives, ultimately leading to the establishment of warm families in the future.

Mr. Thaveepong Vichaidit, Governor of the National Housing Authority, stated that based on the policy of Mr. Warawut Silpa-archa regarding housing projects for First Jobbers, the National Housing Authority has studied the data and behaviors of this group. It has been found that the current First Jobber demographic primarily consists of Generation Z individuals who start earning money at a young age, are tech-savvy, prioritize social media, and seek personal space. They often prefer housing close to their schools or workplaces to reduce commuting time and have more time for their interests.

Currently, the National Housing Authority offers various ready-to-move-in housing projects across the country. They have selected interesting projects to create the 'Starter Homes' initiative for First Jobbers, comprising 7,823 units—6,395 for sale and 1,428 for rent. First Jobbers can access 'Starter Homes' through three methods: (1) Rent to Buy, which allows for short-term rentals of 3-5 years with the option to purchase during or at the end of the rental period; (2) purchasing with installment payments through financial institutions; and (3) direct rental purchase from the National Housing Authority.

However, if First Jobbers apply for loans from financial institutions and are denied, they can still participate in the 'Housing Development Loan Program for Low-Income Earners' offered by the National Housing Authority. In the fiscal year 2024, the National Housing Authority received an approved budget of 465 million baht from the Bureau of the Budget, and at the beginning of the fiscal year, they have already approved loans for 34 clients, totaling 21,218,497.13 baht.

Mr. Thaveepong further stated that for First Jobbers who are not yet ready to purchase a home, the National Housing Authority has selected rental projects in 7 locations in Bangkok and its vicinity, totaling 1,428 units, to offer special promotions with rental rates starting at 1,200 baht from now until November 30, 2024. These include projects such as the Phon Phra Ruang Community Housing, Thung Soong Hong Community Housing, rental housing for low-income earners in Samut Sakhon (Krathumban), O Ngoen Community Housing, standard rental housing at Phetkasem 91, standard rental housing at Phetkasem Phase 2, Bang Phli Community Housing, and rental housing at Rama IV Plus.
