The National Housing Authority is responding to the 'Close to You' policy of Mr. Akra Phromphao, the Minister of Social Development and Human Security, by enhancing the quality of life for citizens through the continuous development of housing, communities, and cities, alongside social services. This is achieved by integrating environmental, economic, welfare, and innovation aspects to create tangible results nationwide.

Mr. Taweepong Vichaiyadit, Governor of the National Housing Authority, revealed that the organization is moving forward with the concept 'Go Green & Growth Together for All with Innovation' through the development of over 21,000 standard housing units across the country. This initiative adheres to the principles of Universal Design, NHA Eco-Village, and the development of pilot projects for Senior Complexes to provide comprehensive living solutions for the elderly, ensuring equitable access to quality housing for all target groups. Additionally, housing development is being carried out in collaboration with the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC) to develop teacher accommodation in various schools, including Nong Lom Wittayakhan School in Chiang Mai, Kittiyanupak School in Ubon Ratchathani, Ban Klong Huai Sai School in Kamphaeng Phet, Ban Tang Am School in Trat, Ban Jaeng Ngam School in Kanchanaburi, Don Mueang Warehouse in Pathum Thani, Ban Mueang Phrek School in Udon Thani, and other institutions to enhance housing welfare for teachers and educational personnel in urgent need areas.

At the same time, the National Housing Authority is preparing to upgrade the management of over 66,000 rental units to improve service quality, maintenance, and surrounding environmental standards. This aims to create long-term housing security for citizens. Furthermore, the Authority has launched a housing development loan project, having already disbursed over 2.3 billion baht. In 2026, the National Housing Authority has allocated an additional 594 million baht for loans to meet housing demands, particularly for citizens who have been denied loans from financial institutions, thereby increasing opportunities and access to housing as much as possible. In terms of community development, the National Housing Authority is committed to driving the BCG and ESG models in 35 communities nationwide to promote waste management, reduce pollution, increase green spaces, and strengthen sustainable community cooperation.

Simultaneously, the organization is accelerating urban development under the Smart City concept in the second to fourth phases of the Din Daeng community revitalization project, which includes both self-managed and public-private partnership (PPP) initiatives. Plans are also in place to expand development to Huai Khwang, Ram Inthra, and Thung Song Hong areas to accommodate future urban growth and modernize infrastructure.

Governor Taweepong further stated that the National Housing Authority aims to enhance public services by developing digital service systems, such as online housing reservation systems, electronic payment systems, and e-Service, alongside the development of the NHA Data Center and the use of Big Data for precise project planning that meets the needs of citizens in each area.

Additionally, the National Housing Authority is preparing to implement the 'Joint Happiness Center' project nationwide, following the Minister's policy, starting with the Chonburi Affordable Housing project (Wat Rangsisuthawas) as a pilot project. This will expand health, education, employment, and welfare services into communities, making it easier for citizens to access government services conveniently and comprehensively.

Mr. Taweepong emphasized that the National Housing Authority is ready to promote urban and housing development in all dimensions to ensure that Thai people have secure housing, strong communities, livable cities, and sustainable quality of life.
