SHARGE Partners with Shell-Porsche for First Cross-Border High-Speed Charging Stations! Developing an App to Find HPC Charging Points in Thailand-Malaysia
SHARGE has teamed up with Shell-Porsche to launch the first cross-border high-speed charging station service! They have developed an app to locate HPC charging points in Thailand-Malaysia, connecting the longest EV Charger network in ASEAN.
SHARGE is elevating Thailand's EV Charger standards to global levels by partnering with Shell-Porsche to create a significant regional phenomenon as the first in Thailand. They are installing EV Chargers with speeds of 180-360 kW, the highest in Thailand, at Shell Recharge stations, which are high-performance electric vehicle charging stations (HPC) across 11 locations in Thailand. Additionally, they are developing Cross Border Integration to connect the SHARGE app with service providers in Malaysia, reinforcing the EV Charger network that spans 2,200 km in Southeast Asia. Full service at all 11 locations is expected to be available soon.

Mr. Pirapat Sirichantaropas, Managing Director of Charge Management Co., Ltd. (SHARGE), a leader in creating the EV Charging Ecosystem to meet sustainable lifestyle needs, stated that with the vision to Scale Up EV Future, the company aims to expand the EV ecosystem in collaboration with Shell, a global leader in energy innovation, and Porsche Asia Pacific, a leading high-performance sports car manufacturer, to enhance EV infrastructure in Southeast Asia to support the mega-trend of EV usage. They are supplying and installing 180kW EV chargers, currently the fastest in Thailand, at Shell Recharge stations and high-performance electric vehicle charging stations (HPC) across 11 locations in Thailand, following the roadmap to expand the longest EV Charger network in Southeast Asia across three countries: Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore, as previously announced by Shell and Porsche. This will allow users to charge from 0% State of Charge (SoC) to 80% within 30 minutes, enabling a travel range of up to 390 kilometers for the Porsche Taycan.

“With SHARGE's strong HPC innovation alongside two global companies like Shell and Porsche, we will help Scale Up our mission to expand EV Infrastructure further. We are jointly creating a large regional network that allows EV users to easily access the fastest high-performance charging stations. This is a significant opportunity for Thailand's EV Charger industry to elevate service technology to international standards and connect with cross-border EV Charger networks for the first time, reflecting SHARGE's readiness to expand EV Charger services to other countries in the future,” Mr. Pirapat said.

Meanwhile, with international standards for developing the EV Charger application and services, the company has also been entrusted to integrate cross-border operations, linking the SHARGE app with the applications of six HPC service providers in Malaysia. This allows all EV users to find Shell Recharge HPC stations in Malaysia, as well as book and pay through the SHARGE app, fulfilling the dream of becoming the longest EV Charger network in Southeast Asia, spanning 2,200 km, as envisioned by Shell and Porsche. This makes SHARGE the first EV Charger service provider in Thailand to expand its services regionally.
Initially, the company expects to continuously install high-speed chargers at all 11 Shell Recharge HPC stations nationwide, with all locations expected to be operational soon. The integration of services with Malaysia is anticipated to be completed by the first quarter of 2023, and the company plans to continue expanding its collaboration with Shell.
It is believed that this collaboration will result in the number of SHARGE app users exceeding 20,000, helping the company deliver the best EV Charger service experience to consumers.
