Mr. Uthai Uthaisangkhuk, CEO of Sansiri Public Company Limited, stated: “Sansiri reaffirms its role as a green organization that has been driving sustainable policies and missions seriously for over 5 years, declaring itself as the first real estate company in Thailand to aim for net greenhouse gas emissions of 'zero' (Net-Zero) by 2050, focusing on creating sustainable environmental change. The conclusions from the global agendas COP27 and APEC2022 continue to emphasize Net-Zero as an issue that all sectors worldwide must work together to address and reduce global pollution, including managing climate issues, sustainable resource management, and sustainable waste reduction and management.”

This year, Sansiri is actively pursuing its Net-Zero mission as the first real estate company in Thailand to create a “Smart Green-Energy Living Ecosystem” that significantly reduces carbon emissions into the global environment. Homeowners of Sansiri have contributed to reducing carbon emissions from purchasing homes in over 31 new projects this year, utilizing clean energy from the start to finish within their homes, beginning with green precast materials produced by Sansiri, the first and only green factory in Thailand with nearly zero waste, clean energy homes from solar with 100% Solar Roof installations in collaboration with Ion Energy for daily clean energy use, and EV Chargers for clean energy vehicles for transportation. Furthermore, both Solar Roof and EV Charger 100% installations are set as standard models in all new projects across all types and segments of homes, making Sansiri the first real estate company in Thailand.

It has already started installing EV Chargers in condominiums for over 10 years and has installed the most in the real estate sector with over 50 projects, totaling over 580 charging points to push towards the Net-Zero mission of achieving 'zero' greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 in a tangible manner, along with creating Low-Energy Homes, which are prototype homes set to be launched in early 2023, aligning with the trends of modern consumers who consider living innovations to reduce environmental pollution and promote sustainable living.”

In 2022, Sansiri has installed 100% Solar Roofs in every new single-family home across all segments, with progress on over 600 homes in more than 31 projects, such as the new project in Bangkok, Kritha Community, which is a community for living over 500 rai and an international quality society in the best location of Kritha, including Setthasiri Kritha, Burasiri Kritha, Narasiri Kritha, etc. The 1.84 kW Solar Roofs have been installed according to this year's target, divided into 427 homes priced below 8 million baht and 173 homes priced above 8 million baht, helping to reduce carbon emissions by over 967 tons, equivalent to planting 64,474 trees, and saving homeowners and common area costs over 7.6 million baht annually. It is expected that by 2023, a total of 2,100 homes can be installed, accounting for over 30% of the target of 6,600 homes within 3 years (2023-2025), with every new single-family home, condominium, and common area of all new Sansiri projects achieving 100% Solar Roof installations. In 2023, the goal is to install Solar Roofs in clubhouse areas of all new projects, totaling 48 projects, and in common areas of over 60 new condominiums, aligning with Sansiri's commitment to cover all segments with Solar Roof installations to meet the increasing demand from homeowners, as well as expanding installations to other businesses of Sansiri to drive towards the Net-ZERO goal, such as the latest precast factory, which is the first and only fully green precast factory in Thailand, supporting Sansiri's rapid growth in 2023, The Standard Hotel Hua Hin, The Phayao Hotel in both Hua Hin and Khao Yai, and the Demonstration School of Development, aiming to install 812 kilowatts, which can save up to 5.5 million baht in electricity costs annually.
Additionally, solar-powered lighting has been installed in every new horizontal project, meeting this year's target in over 63 projects, helping to reduce carbon emissions by over 5 tons, equivalent to planting 529 trees, and saving homeowners and common area costs over 430,000 baht annually. Furthermore, existing Sansiri homeowners under the management of Plus Property can access clean energy from Solar Roof more easily, as they prepare to partner with leading banks to provide solar loans for residences at special interest rates to meet the increasing demand for clean energy.

The goal is to install EV Chargers in over 2,100 homes within 3 years, including expanding installations to common areas of new condominiums, totaling 68 projects, and in common areas of old condominiums, over 100 projects, totaling 1,000 charging points, which will help reduce carbon emissions into the atmosphere by over 3,570 tons, equivalent to planting 297,500 trees, and will save homeowners and common area costs up to 92 million baht annually.
Mr. Pirakarn Manakij, CEO of Charge Management Co., Ltd. (SHARGE), a leader in creating the EV Charging Ecosystem, revealed that “12.6% of global greenhouse gas emissions come from the transportation sector. Therefore, the trend of using EV Cars continues to rise due to the increasing demand, as it is a trend that will create a change in the behavior of car users worldwide, leading to an environmental revolution for the better. Especially in Thailand, where we face traffic issues that have resulted in persistent PM 2.5 problems for many years. To achieve the Net-Zero mission together with Sansiri, SHARGE has enhanced the installation of EV Chargers in all Sansiri projects by applying installation standards developed in collaboration with major global automotive brands like BYD and Porsche, improving user experience in the SHARGE ecosystem within the Sansiri Home Service Application using customer insights from over 10,000 electric vehicle users. Additionally, Sansiri homeowners can travel seamlessly and reduce greenhouse gas emissions with EV Charging Stations in collaboration with leading partners of SHARGE, which have branches covering all of Thailand.”
