"Origin Day" Partners with Another Landlord to Expand into Retail Market, Creating a New Landmark "Portobello Mall Chaengwattana" Opposite the Government Complex
"Origin Day" is driving the "Origin Multiverse" concept by collaborating with "Asset Bloom," a subsidiary of a major landlord in the Sukhumvit-Chaengwattana area, to develop a new community mall on a 14-rai site called "Portobello Mall Chaengwattana," located opposite the Chaengwattana Government Complex. The mall will feature numerous shops, restaurants, and lifestyle venues across nearly 10,000 square meters, supporting the comprehensive growth of this potential area, with an expected opening by the end of 2022.

Mr. Piti Pong Trai Nurak, CEO of Origin Day Co., Ltd., a company generating recurring income under Origin Property Public Company Limited (ORI), stated that the operational plan for 2022 under the "Origin Multiverse" concept continues to create parallel growth opportunities through project development, partnerships with new allies, and acquisitions. Recently, a joint venture was established with Asset Bloom Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of a major landlord owning multiple plots in Sukhumvit and Chaengwattana, under the name Origin Asset Bloom Co., Ltd. in a 50:50 ratio to jointly develop the community mall project "Portobello Mall Chaengwattana".
"This marks the second time that the Origin Group has partnered with landlords to develop projects that generate recurring income. We see this group of landlords as having diverse potential, owning land in attractive locations, with over 30 years of expertise in real estate, and a vision for continuous growth in the property sector. We believe this collaboration will help create a new landmark in a potential area and lead to further partnership opportunities in the future," Mr. Piti Pong said.
The community mall project "Portobello Mall Chaengwattana" is situated on over 14 rai on Chaengwattana Road, opposite the Chaengwattana Government Complex, with a total building area (Gross Floor Area) of approximately 10,000 square meters. The project will include retail shops, leading restaurants, activity areas, lifestyle venues, and a large parking area for over 300 vehicles, with an expected opening in Q4 of 2022.

Mr. Piti Pong further stated that the project's location is in a large employment area, surrounded by many important buildings, such as the Chaengwattana Government Complex, Software Park, and the Kasikorn Business Technology Group (KBTG) office, with numerous civil servants, state enterprise employees, and private sector workers in the vicinity. Additionally, the project's location connects to the PTT gas station on Chaengwattana, which is one of the busiest stations, and has transportation networks supporting the area's growth, such as the Pink Line expected to open by the end of 2022, enhancing east-west connectivity, as well as the Red Line that will facilitate easier access to central Bangkok. Therefore, we are confident that Portobello Mall Chaengwattana will receive a positive response upon opening.
The "Portobello Mall Chaengwattana" project is the third community mall of the Origin Property Group, building on the success of two projects in the EEC area, namely Portobello Mall Sriracha, located in the "Origin District Laemchabang-Sriracha" project, which has been operational since 2018, and Portobello Mall Rayong, located in the "Origin Smart City Rayong" project, which is under development and expected to open by the end of 2022.
