"Kasikorn Bank" has launched the GO GREEN Together project, becoming the first bank to connect and promote a comprehensive Green Ecosystem. The campaign kicks off with the GREEN ZERO loan initiative, including loans for electric vehicles with 90 days of free driving and 0 baht payments, as well as home loans for solar panel installations and business loans for solar panel installations and energy-saving loans, all offering a 0% interest promotion for 3 months. This initiative aims to encourage Thai people to adopt a Green Lifestyle, fostering a love for the environment and collective efforts to protect our planet.

 

           Mr. Krit Jitjaeng, Managing Director of Kasikorn Bank stated that global warming is not a new issue, but the current situation is approaching a crisis point due to human activities exacerbating the situation, leading to climate change and various disasters. It is time for us to seriously cooperate and take immediate action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and help our world survive.

            Many countries have implemented measures to control global warming, such as the EU's announcement to stop selling combustion engine vehicles by 2035 and plans to impose a carbon tax on imported goods in 2023. China aims for net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2060, and Thailand is also becoming more proactive, with the government announcing a Net Zero target by 2065 and implementing special measures to subsidize and reduce import taxes on electric vehicles from 2022 to 2025.

 

 

          Kasikorn Bank believes that sustainable operations will enable the bank, its customers, and the country to survive and grow together. The bank is committed to demonstrating responsibility in various dimensions of sustainability, particularly in environmental matters, which it has been addressing for a long time. This marks the first bank initiative to connect and promote a comprehensive Green Ecosystem in Thailand, starting with the GREEN ZERO loan campaign, offering special promotions for retail and business customers, with a loan budget of 3 billion baht. The details of the loans are as follows:

- Electric Vehicle Loans for all brands in the BEV (Battery-Electric-Vehicle) category, with a maximum loan amount of 12 million baht and a repayment period of up to 7 years, featuring a special promotion of 90 days of free driving and 0 baht payments.

- Home Loans for Solar Panel Installation including loans for new homes, refinancing, additional home loans, and assistance loans, with a special promotion of 0% interest for 3 months.

- Business Loans for Solar Panel Installation with a maximum loan amount of 100% of the project value and a repayment period of up to 8 years, as well as energy-saving guarantee loans with a maximum loan amount of 100% of the investment and a repayment period of up to 7 years, featuring a special promotion of 0% interest for 3 months.
