The CCSA has decided to tighten restrictions in 10 red zone provinces, starting Monday, July 12. Residents are prohibited from leaving their homes from 9 PM to 4 AM, and convenience stores, shopping malls, and restaurants must close by 8 PM.

On July 9, 2021, reports from the meeting of the COVID-19 Situation Administration Center (CCSA) indicated that the main CCSA meeting concluded around 1:30 PM. The discussions were extensive and serious, particularly regarding the announcement of various measures to control the spread of COVID-19.

Recently, the CCSA has decided to implement the highest and strictest control measures only in 10 specific provinces, rather than nationwide. The provinces classified as dark red and targeted areas include: Bangkok, Pathum Thani, Samut Prakan, Samut Sakhon, Nonthaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Narathiwat, Pattani, Yala, and Songkhla.

The specifics of the regulations will vary by area and will take effect starting July 12, 2021, for a total of 14 days. However, it has been approved to start setting up checkpoints from July 10, 2021.

For those traveling through checkpoints, if they have been vaccinated, they may travel normally but must adhere to strict pandemic control measures.

As for convenience stores, shopping malls, and restaurants, it has been concluded in the meeting that they will close at 8 PM daily, and gatherings of more than 5 people are prohibited. Public transport will operate until 9:30 PM, and residents in controlled areas are not allowed to leave their homes from 9 PM to 4 AM.
