LPP is advancing the 60+ Earth Hour initiative by rallying 261 projects to turn off lights for one hour to "combat global warming". The goal is to increase energy savings by 30% this year, reducing electricity consumption by over 3,500 kWh. This effort is expected to help lower central electricity costs by more than 14,700 THB/hour. Join us globally on March 23.

Ms. Somsri Techakraisri, Managing Director of LPP Property Management Co., Ltd. (LPP), a leader in comprehensive real estate project management, announced that LPP supports the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in inviting Thais and residents from over 261 projects managed by LPP, totaling more than 400,000 residents, to participate in the 60+ Earth Hour initiative. Together, we will turn off lights and refrain from using unnecessary electrical appliances for one hour on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM. This event marks the 17th year of LPP's commitment to raising awareness about global warming and encouraging everyone to focus on solutions and environmental issues.

For 2024, LPP aims to increase electricity savings by approximately 30% from last year after collectively turning off lights for one hour across 261 projects. This is expected to reduce electricity consumption by over 3,500 kWh and decrease carbon dioxide emissions by at least 2,037.35 kgCO2e, equivalent to planting over 255 trees. Additionally, it could help save over 14,700 THB/hour in central electricity costs. We have planned to ensure the safety of the common areas under our management, which spans over 11 million square meters, so that residents can participate in the event safely and without disruption to their living conditions. We also encourage our over 3,000 employees at LPP to join this initiative to support our electricity reduction goals,”

In addition to the one-hour blackout initiative, LPP continues to implement measures in each project, such as proposing to the board to turn off lights in low-risk areas for one hour every week and encouraging each unit to participate in energy-saving activities in their private spaces to help combat global warming. Furthermore, LPP is committed to advancing practices and developing environmental management systems for sustainable living through various activities that promote awareness among residents about the importance of environmental conservation, increasing green spaces in projects, managing waste, reducing paper and plastic cup usage, and conserving energy through alternative clean energy sources in residential projects, such as supporting the installation of Solar Roofs and EV Charging stations, as well as providing energy-saving devices for air conditioners (Aircon Saver), which is another way to address the increasing climate crisis.

“As a property management business committed to delivering a high quality of life to residents, employees, communities, and society, LPP aspires to be a significant force in caring for and transforming our world into a better place. We aim to promote energy conservation awareness and encourage everyone to change their energy usage behaviors meaningfully, making clean energy more accessible in daily life for a more efficient and sustainable future,” Ms. Somsri concluded.
