LPP is advancing its efforts to create a 'Healthy Society' in all aspects of living by continuing the '7 Days No Smoke: Dare to Quit' campaign in its fourth year from May 25 to 31, 2023, coinciding with World No Tobacco Day. This year, the campaign is intensified through collaboration with two partner organizations from the Thai Health Promotion Foundation, namely the Quit Smoking Hotline 1600 and the Youth Vision Institute, aiming to drive the 'Reduce, Quit' initiative for cigarettes and e-cigarettes within residential projects consistently and tangibly.

Ms. Somsri Techakraisri, Managing Director of LPP Property Management Co., Ltd. (LPP), stated that as a leader in comprehensive property management, LPP does not only focus on the overall management of buildings but also prioritizes the quality of life and well-being of residents, particularly addressing the societal issue of smoke from 'cigarettes' and 'e-cigarettes,' which are air pollutants that affect living conditions and harm public health. LPP believes that even small efforts can serve as an important voice to raise awareness in society and lead to a reduction in smoking among those who are willing to quit.

This year, LPP is enhancing its proactive campaign strategy with strong cooperation from the condominium committee to promote activities that not only create a safe and pleasant environment within the projects but also serve as a practical guideline across the 270 projects under its management. This will stimulate broader societal engagement through various activities throughout the 7-day campaign, both short-term and long-term, such as:

  • Proactive communication and public relations focusing on disseminating knowledge through collaboration with the Youth Vision Institute and Quit Smoking Hotline 1600, providing easily understandable information about the harms of cigarettes and e-cigarettes via the project's digital channels (Line Official, Facebook, Application) to quickly reach residents' lifestyles.
  • Creating an atmosphere by transforming common areas into spaces that promote positive energy through modernly designed campaign materials and activities encouraging residents and building users to commit to reducing and quitting smoking, along with providing support to foster smiles as they begin to change their behaviors together.
  • Establishing smoking cessation support points within the projects by providing candies or gums to help reduce cravings in designated areas, along with promoting access to quitting resources through Hotline 1600 for those seeking immediate expert advice.

Ms. Somsri concluded, "LPP believes that starting to raise awareness and change behaviors from small points within residential areas, relying on strong cooperation from the condominium committee, residents, and all building users, can expand into a long-term smoke-free society. LPP would like to thank our key partners, including the Thai Health Promotion Foundation, Quit Smoking Hotline 1600, and the Youth Vision Institute, for supporting the dissemination of knowledge that can be utilized in the projects we manage, as another approach to creating a 'Healthy Society' that is ready to expand its impact widely."
