Major Development Public Company Limited is a leader in luxury real estate development and pet-friendly condominiums (Pet Family Residences) that redefines service standards, emphasizing a superior image that reflects the commitment and care from within the organization (Corporate Passion) to establish a new foundation.

For the first time, all employees are required to upgrade their skills to become professional animal caregivers through the ‘Top-Notch Pet Care Skills Pet Family Expertise Program’, developed in collaboration with a team of experienced veterinarians and animal caregivers from Kacha Vet Hospital, to provide basic pet care training and understanding, ensuring that residents and their pets receive appropriate care, reinforcing the image of a leader in Pet Family Residences, a real estate project that creates a happy community where humans and pets coexist equally.

From intention and understanding to becoming a true leader.

Ms. Phetlada Poonvoralak, CEO of Major Development Public Company Limited stated, “For over 20 years, we have set standards for creating residences under the Craft & Quality standard for sustainable living and daily life, emphasizing an understanding of the Pet Humanization lifestyle since our first project. We have continuously developed to become the market leader in pet-friendly real estate projects. Today, the diversity of pet ownership has increased with many breeds, and pet owners consider their pets as family members. Therefore, we have implemented new measures to build on the Petscape concept to develop Essential Skills and instill a service mindset through the Pet Family Expertise Program, which will serve as a foundation for pet care for employees and management in all projects, enabling them to understand and effectively care for residents and their pets.”

The ‘Top-Notch Pet Care Skills Pet Family Expertise Program’ has been developed in collaboration with a team of experienced veterinarians and animal caregivers from Kacha Vet Hospital to provide academic training and practical pet care basics, consisting of 10 courses with a total learning time of 50 hours, including:

  1. Basic Pet Health Care Understanding pet nature to assess appropriate care.
  2. Basic Pet Physical Examination Assessing the characteristics of pets both internally and externally.
  3. Important Pet Diseases Learning about both communicable and non-communicable diseases, including causes and prevention.
  4. Important Zoonotic Diseases Understanding diseases that can be transmitted from pets to humans for proper prevention and advice.
  5. Principles of Infection Prevention from Pets Knowing the principles of disease prevention and appropriate disinfection methods.
  6. Pet First Aid Assessing pet symptoms, managing emergencies, and stabilizing injuries.
  7. Pet Behavior Understanding pet expressions to help address behavioral issues.
  8. Service Mind in Pet Business Instilling a service mindset along with principles to create a good community within the project.
  9. Communication Skills Understanding the principles of Pet Humanization and communicating effectively.
  10. Appointment Management Learning to manage customer appointments and provide front-line customer service, allocating tasks to ensure quality personnel.

To ensure a thorough understanding of the Pet Family Expertise Program, participants must complete academic training and undergo practical training and pass standards set by the hospital for over 50 hours. Upon completion, they will receive a certificate from Kacha Vet Hospital, the number one pet health service center, indicating their potential and readiness to be pet caregivers at Major Development. The goal for this year is to develop 10 knowledgeable and ready personnel, reinforcing the image of a leader in Pet Family Residences, creating a happy community where humans and pets coexist equally in every project.

Dr. Waliya Kanjanapongkit, Veterinarian at Kacha Vet Hospital stated, “Pet owners consider their pets as family members because they feel that pets are a part of their lives and their lifestyle. This initiative marks a new dimension where real estate developers and project managers (juristic persons) are increasingly interested in pet care within projects. It is a good starting point because having caregivers who can understand and provide basic care gives us peace of mind that the environment is safe. If unexpected events occur, there are caregivers who can quickly and correctly handle the initial issues before sending pets for comprehensive care from modern veterinary hospitals with specialized teams of veterinarians and nurses. We are pleased to collaborate with Major Development in developing the Pet Family Expertise Program and hope that employees will fully understand and apply their knowledge and practices in caring for residents' pets.”

Ms. Wannipa Tinrat stated, “As an animal lover, participating in the Pet Family Expertise Program has given me a deeper understanding of animals, especially regarding their behavior. Since pets cannot speak like humans, their expressions are the only way to convey their needs. When we see that their expressions indicate specific needs, we can analyze and address issues accurately. Additionally, the practical training has equipped me with both understanding and skills.”

The program strengthens employees' understanding of how to care for and treat pets in both normal and emergency situations for residents. The ‘Top-Notch Pet Care Skills Pet Family Expertise Program’ will also enhance the capabilities and professionalism of the management in providing comprehensive service to residents, which is another factor that contributes to sustainable quality of life for residents. Because “we” Major Development is not just a Real Estate Developer, but we are a Lifescape Developer.
