Magnolia Quality Development Corporation Limited (MQDC), a leading real estate developer, has launched the Cloud 11 project, valued at over 40 billion baht, to capitalize on the Creator Economy trend with the concept of “Empowering Creators”. This initiative aims to establish the largest content creator hub in Asia, providing a platform for the new generation to pursue careers and businesses in content creation. The Cloud 11 project is part of the Innovation Cluster in the Sukhumvit South innovation district.

Mr. Narong Jiaravanon, Honorary Advisor of the Cloud 11 project, stated, “Technology and innovation are key drivers of the global economy, propelling rapid growth across industries. The entertainment and content creation industry has undergone significant technological changes, such as the use of AI in content creation and various platforms for effectively distributing content to consumers. Thailand has strengths in the content industry, particularly its rich culture, which is a crucial foundation for content creation. Additionally, there is a wealth of talented personnel; however, these resources are currently scattered and have not been fully integrated with technology and innovation.”

Cloud 11 will serve as a cog connecting the complete ecosystem of content creation, becoming the largest hub for content creators in Asia. It aims to enhance the potential of creators through skilled personnel, learning resources, investment opportunities, and serve as a gateway for Thai creators to promote Thailand's distinctive culture as a form of Soft Power to the global community, fostering brand love for Thai culture as well.

Mr. Wisit Malaisirirat, CEO of MQDC, remarked, “MQDC operates under the philosophy of ‘For All Well-being’ and is committed to creating and developing real estate projects to sustainably enhance the quality of life for all. Every project developed by MQDC must benefit the surrounding community, society, and the nation by incorporating knowledge, innovation, and advanced technology into the development process in line with national development policies. Therefore, we have decided to invest in the Cloud 11 project alongside the creation of Innovation Clusters in the Sukhumvit South innovation district to foster a space for the new generation and innovation.”

Mr. Angsana Janyaprasert, Project Director of Cloud 11, stated, “The entertainment industry has entered a new era due to the rapid development of technology. Content creators play an increasingly significant role, leading to the emergence of the Creator Economy, which is a crucial engine driving the entertainment industry in this new era. This is the starting point for developing the Cloud 11 project into the largest content creator hub in Asia through the concept of Empowering Creators, serving as the most comprehensive ecosystem for content creation by partnering with global and local allies, marking a new chapter in real estate development as a hub for creators and the content industry.”

In addition to the physical space designed to meet the needs of content creation and the lifestyle of the new generation, Cloud 11 also provides inspiration, knowledge, and opportunities for development to creators, content entrepreneurs, and related businesses. We hope that Cloud 11 will help promote and support creators to reach the global stage and significantly contribute to advancing Thailand's content industry to the forefront of the world.

Cloud 11 is built on the concept of “Empowering Creators,” aiming to be a hub for the new generation interested in becoming creators, encouraging them to pursue their dreams in content-related careers and businesses. This project is more than just a mixed-use real estate development; it presents a new model for creating an Innovation Cluster consisting of three key components:

• Content Creation Ecosystem is the most comprehensive ecosystem for content creation, equipped with studio spaces, funding, skilled personnel, and modern equipment for various content types, including music, podcasts, films, short videos, animation, games, and various art or design works. The project will serve as a hub for players of all sizes, from startups and SMEs in Thailand to multinational content companies.

• Virtual - Physical Bridge serves as a bridge connecting Thai creators to the global stage through technology that links the real world with the virtual world via Web3 and the Metaverse, allowing content created by Thais to reach audiences and fan bases abroad in an immersive manner. Additionally, the application of Blockchain technology will ensure fair and efficient copyright and revenue sharing throughout the content creation chain.

• Inclusive Progress embraces diversity as a core value of Cloud 11. The project will implement programs to enhance the potential of new creators, artists outside the mainstream, and small entrepreneurs to grow equitably. Furthermore, the project emphasizes creating benefits for the community through the design of green spaces, the largest rooftop garden in Bangkok, providing a platform for both creators and community members to engage in activities together, as well as supporting local businesses to promote and develop the surrounding community's economy.

The Cloud 11 project consists of 7 main components:
• Creative Office & Studio Space is a Grade-A office with studio space designed for creators, operating 24 hours a day, featuring flexible and quiet air conditioning, private elevators for artists, and meeting LEED sustainability and WELL health standards, along with WiredScore SmartScore standards for smart technology systems, including high-speed internet specifically for content work.

• Hybrid Retail is a new concept shopping center supporting creators' businesses, including a Fulfillment Center for stocking, packing, and shipping products, with small efficient storefronts, or Cloud Kitchens for food creators who do not wish to invest in a storefront. Additionally, the shopping center will feature global brands collaborating with creators to leverage their works for special product lines.

• Smart Hotel and Lifestyle Hotel are two new global hotel brands set to debut in Thailand, catering to the new generation, startups, investors, and international businesspeople, aligning with the creation of an innovation district.
• Education includes educational institutions, universities, research centers, and incubation spaces to develop personnel in content creation, technology, and innovation.
• Cultural features concert halls, esports competition venues, and a Blackbox Theatre for new creators and artists.
• Public Space is the largest rooftop garden in Bangkok, a public area for creators to showcase their talents and for community members to exercise and relax, addressing the need for more green spaces in the Sukhumvit South area.

Cloud 11 is a project fully owned and invested by Magnolia Quality Development Corporation Limited (MQDC). The project is located on a 27-rai plot along Sukhumvit Road, near the Udom Suk BTS station, with construction starting in 2022 by Thai Obayashi. The piling and foundation work is 100% complete, and the structural work is currently underway, with an expected opening in the fourth quarter of 2024. Cloud 11 is now accepting reservations for retail and office spaces. Organizations or entities interested can register for more information at www.cloud11bangkok.com.
