After hinting at plans to enter a new market segment with condominiums for Pet Lovers, or condos that allow residents to keep pets, at the beginning of 2021, Origin Property Public Company Limited or ORI, a comprehensive real estate development company, has already developed 6 pet-friendly condominium projects across various locations in less than 2 years. They are preparing to launch at least 4 more projects, making this one of the key strategies to reinforce their market leadership in quality condominiums for Gen Y and Gen Z.

Apisit Sunthornchookiat, CEO of Origin Condominium Co., Ltd., a developer of smart condominium projects under Origin Property Public Company Limited, explained that consumer behavior among Gen Y and Gen Z has changed significantly, especially regarding the trend of having children. The younger generation tends to have children later or not at all, opting instead to raise pets, which has become a mega trend known as Pet Humanization—treating pets as family members. This shift has altered lifestyles and housing needs accordingly.

“As a leader in the condominium market for Gen Y and Gen Z, we place great importance on the Pet Lover condo market to provide a new option for consumers.
