SENA has teamed up with LEO, a logistics leader, to invest in the warehouse and self-storage business, with plans to launch the first phase at Sena Fest Charan Nakhon 16 by the end of 2022. SENA will leverage its strengths in land acquisition and construction, while LEO Global Logistics will assist in finding customers for warehouse rentals and self-storage spaces, drawing on its extensive expertise in comprehensive logistics services available worldwide.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kesara Thanyalakphak, Managing Director of Sena Development Public Company Limited stated that to expand new business opportunities, SENA has established a new subsidiary named SK Asset Management Co., Ltd. to focus on providing warehouse rental services and self-storage solutions, along with comprehensive management services that meet customer business needs.
Recently, SENA has formed a strategic partnership with LEO Global Logistics Public Company Limited to enhance its warehouse rental and self-storage services by utilizing SENA's expertise in land acquisition and construction, while LEO Global Logistics will support customer acquisition for warehouse rentals and self-storage spaces, leveraging its 32 years of experience in the global logistics industry.
SENA views the warehouse rental and self-storage business as a promising avenue for generating recurring income with low risk, making it an attractive business opportunity. With a knowledgeable partner, SENA is confident that this venture will contribute to its revenue growth in the future, as it currently generates about 10% of its income from recurring sources.
According to the plan, the first phase of the self-storage facility at Sena Fest Charan Nakhon 16 will be launched this year, covering over 13,000 square meters to cater to e-commerce customers and foreign investors residing in Thailand. There are also plans to expand to the Ratchada-Rama 9 and Ari areas due to the high density of condominiums. Meanwhile, the warehouse business is set to expand in three locations: Lat Krabang, Bang Na, and Wang Noi, as these areas show strong demand from customers and are close to land and air transport systems.

Mr. Kettivith Sittisuntornwong, CEO of LEO Global Logistics Public Company Limited stated that the warehouse rental and self-storage business still has significant growth potential, especially in urban areas where there is high demand from e-commerce customers. Additionally, the presence of Alibaba, the giant e-commerce company from China, using Thailand as a distribution center for ASEAN, further assures that this business will thrive. SENA's strength in selecting high-potential locations makes this partnership a perfect fit, mutually enhancing each other's capabilities. There is confidence that this collaboration will accelerate the growth and sustainability of the warehouse and self-storage business.
