The Home Builders Association (HBA) is raising the standards for quality home construction, ensuring that home building businesses gain consumer confidence. The event 'Home Building and Material FOCUS 2022' is set to exceed its reservation target of over 2 billion baht. They are ramping up strong promotions with discount coupons worth 5,000 - 10,000 baht, along with a chance to win gold valued at 150,000 baht. More than 1,000 beautiful new house designs will be showcased, catering to every lifestyle, with prices ranging from 1 to 100 million baht, breaking all limitations of home construction.

Mr. Worawut Kanjanakul, President of the Home Builders Association (HBA), revealed that the overall home building market is showing signs of growth, with continuous increases in reservations for homes on personal land from member companies of the association. There is also significant interest in attending the event 'Home Building and Material FOCUS 2022', which will take place from March 30 to April 3, 2022, at Impact Hall 8, Muang Thong Thani. In addition to the promotions and special privileges at the event, the association is committed to maintaining construction quality. This year, plans are in place to enhance and establish new standards to build confidence in the home building business overall, including the use of drones for surveying and collecting construction data in the area, both before and during work, to reduce contact and the number of workers.

The drones will be responsible for comprehensive site surveys, quality control, and monitoring progress from start to finish, as well as being used for planning and controlling construction, with results processed using AR (Augmented Reality) to visualize designs on the actual site.

Additionally, 3D Printing technology has been introduced to support construction, enabling faster project delivery. This technology allows architects to create small objects, such as furniture, up to large buildings, including modern home construction technologies showcased at the event, such as recycling construction waste into bags and blocks, which helps reduce carbon emissions to just 1 in 10 of regular blocks.

“These technologies and service standards are part of the association's commitment to establishing new standards for the home building business. For instance, professional home building companies must have teams ready to advise homeowners, providing details about the construction process from start to finish, ensuring customers receive quality homes that meet international standards, are practical, and provide value for money. This includes having standard house designs for customers to choose from to aid in decision-making and providing detailed construction budget estimates,” Mr. Worawut stated.

There is also a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed to promote energy conservation and renewable energy in the housing sector, aimed at encouraging the design, construction, and sale of energy-efficient homes in Thailand, as well as promoting energy conservation and the use of renewable energy in the Thai housing sector. This collaboration involves five organizations: 1) Home Builders Association, 2) Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency, 3) Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, 4) Kasikorn Bank Public Company Limited, and 5) SCG Cement - Building Materials Company Limited.

As for promotions, over 30 home building and material companies will participate, showcasing more than 1,000 new house designs at price levels from 1 to 100 million baht. Attendees will receive various benefits, such as an e-Book titled “Innovative Home Designs in 2022,” discount coupons worth 5,000 - 10,000 baht, and a chance to win gold bars valued at over 150,000 baht when booking to build a home at the event (*conditions apply as specified by the association).

The 'Home Building and Material FOCUS 2022' event will take place from March 30 to April 3, 2022, at Impact Hall 8, Muang Thong Thani. The association prioritizes the safety of all participants, including organizers, attendees, and venue providers, and has prepared COVID-19 safety standards from the preparation stage through to the event itself, implementing four main V-U-C-A measures: V = Vaccine: Organizers are fully vaccinated with two doses, and attendees will have their temperatures checked before entering the event; U = Universal Prevention: Social distancing measures will be in place, and masks must be worn at all times; C = Covid Free Setting: The venue will be disinfected and certified for hygiene safety; and A = ATK (Antigen Test Kit): Organizers will conduct ATK tests within 48 hours before the event.
