Narai Hospitality Group has announced the rebranding of 'Lub d', a lifestyle hotel group, and is reopening the Lub d Bangkok Siam after renovations. The group is also launching a new lifestyle café and bar to boost sales following the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on creating memorable new experiences. They are confident of a positive response and aim to expand their hotel offerings, projecting revenue of over 600 million baht within the next five years.

On March 25, 2022, at Lub d Bangkok Siam, Ms. Nithida Nithiwasin, Director of Lub d under Narai Hospitality Group, along with the management team, attended the event “Lub d Nice to Meet You...Again,” a press conference announcing the rebranding and reopening of Lub d Bangkok Siam after renovations, alongside the launch of the new lifestyle café and bar amidst a lively atmosphere with media and honored guests.

Ms. Nithida Nithiwasin stated that “Lub d” is not just a hotel but a lifestyle choice for international travelers. However, due to the COVID-19 situation, tourists were unable to travel and stay, prompting “Lub d” to seize this opportunity for a rebranding, the first in eight years. They collaborated with the renowned branding and creative digital agency, DesignStudio, which has worked with global brands like Alipay and Airbnb, to design the brand under the strategy ‘Go Brave’, encouraging a fun and friendly personality that aligns with Lub d's goal of creating unforgettable experiences and challenging travelers to try new things.

To align with changing times, Ms. Nithida noted that in addition to the brand identity update, Lub d Bangkok Siam, located next to the BTS National Stadium station, underwent renovations costing over 50 million baht to revamp 30 rooms, blending local culture with modernity to cater to customers seeking privacy while maintaining the essence of hostel lovers. The brand “Lub d” is a pioneer of Thai hostel-style hotels that have achieved international recognition, previously ranked as the number one hostel for its outstanding service and ability to create new experiences for guests. They also added communal areas and a fully equipped co-working space to support the Workation lifestyle, accommodating meetings or group workshops.

The event also featured the launch of Rodken, a lifestyle café supporting community sustainability, and District, a relaxed bar ideal for social gatherings, under the concept ‘Street Meets Neighborhood’. Both Rodken and District will be brands associated with “Lub d” in other locations as well.

Ms. Nithida concluded by sharing Lub d's goals, stating that currently, “Lub d” has five locations: Lub d Siam, Lub d Koh Samui Chaweng, Lub d Patong Phuket, Lub d Makati Philippines, and Lub d Siem Reap Cambodia. There are plans to open two new branches in 2022: Lub d Chiang Mai and Lub d Chatuchak, along with two more branches in 2023: Lub d Koh Phangan and Lub d Krabi. They expect to generate over 600 million baht in total revenue within five years from both Thai and international tourists, and prior to reopening the country, they will encourage Thai citizens to travel more through government initiatives like ‘We Travel Together’ and ‘Tour Thailand’.

Lub d Siam is now open for service along with the café Rodken, which operates daily from 07:00 AM to 06:00 PM, and the bar District, which is open daily from 06:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
