Lukding Cement Donates Survival Bags to Over 2,000 Workers at Land and House - Supalai Construction Camps
Lukding Cement is sending encouragement to the Thai people to overcome the COVID-19 crisis by donating 2,000 survival bags containing essential goods worth a total of 380,000 baht to workers at the construction camps of partners such as Land and House - Supalai under the project Lukding Cement Won't Abandon You. The company views its partners and customers as friends who sincerely walk together into the future without leaving anyone behind, with plans to extend assistance to other partner worker camps.
Ms. Praparat Sirivathanakarn, Chairwoman of Quick Coat Products Co., Ltd., a manufacturer and distributor of quality cement for true professionals under the brands Lukding and Kangaroo, revealed that the COVID-19 pandemic has been ongoing and severe, with the private sector participating in helping by donating medical equipment to support frontline medical personnel and providing essential goods to affected citizens.
The construction worker group is another group that has been significantly impacted by the closure of camps to reduce the spread of COVID-19, with many workers facing hardships and waiting for assistance. This led to the initiative to create survival bags for workers in construction camps under the Lukding Cement Won't Abandon You project, starting with the donation of survival bags at the construction camps of partners such as Land and House - Supalai.
The survival bags consist of a total of 2,000 sets, valued at 380,000 baht, containing essential goods for daily living, including 2 kilograms of rice, 6 packets of instant noodles, 2 bottles of Lukding-Kangaroo drinking water, 6 eggs, 4 cans of fish, 10 pieces of face masks, and 10 tablets of Andrographis paniculata.

“In the past, Lukding Cement has continuously engaged in various activities to help society under the policy Lukding Cement... Repairing for a Better Life, focusing on supporting four groups: community development, personnel development, partner and customer relationship development, and environmental development. Since the first wave of COVID-19, we have launched a special CSR project called ‘Lukding Cement Won't Abandon You’ to assist those affected by COVID-19, particularly, and have continued to provide support. The donation of survival bags to workers at the construction camps of both partners this time not only helps those in need but also aligns with the company's CSR policy aimed at developing partner and customer relationships, as we view our partners and customers as friends walking together sincerely into the future without leaving anyone behind,” Ms. Praparat stated.
Activities under the “Lukding Cement Won't Abandon You” project have been carried out in various forms, including:
• March 2020 - Lukding Cement employees joined forces to sew cloth masks and sent them to partners who are construction material shops to prevent COVID-19 infection during the mask shortage.
• April 2020 - Delivered masks to 7 hospitals in Ratchaburi and Bangkok, including 1. Somdej Phra Pinklao Hospital, Bangkok 2. Rajpipat Hospital, Bangkok 3. Photharam Hospital, Ratchaburi 4. Mother and Child Hospital 5. Ban Pong Hospital, Ratchaburi 6. Phanu Rangsit Hospital, Ratchaburi 7. Ratchaburi Hospital.
• June-July 2020 - Distributed over 10,000 Lukding masks to craftsmen nationwide through construction material shops and general work sites.
• May 2021 - Donated essential items to the Klong Toey community.
• July 2021 - In collaboration with Sansiri, donated 200 survival bags to workers and families at the Burasi Siri Panya Inthra construction camp.
• Employees donated blood at the Thai Red Cross Blood Center to alleviate the blood reserve shortage crisis.
