Krung Thai Answers 16 Questions About 'We Won't Leave You Behind'
Krung Thai Bank clarifies 16 questions regarding the 'We Won't Leave You Behind' program, detailing who is eligible for the 5,000 Baht relief payment.
Today, April 10, 2020, marks the third day of money transfers to citizens affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, with the government providing a monthly relief payment of 5,000 Baht for three months to those who registered through the website www.เราจะไม่ทิ้งกัน.com.
Recently, the Facebook fan page Krungthai Care of Krung Thai Bank posted responses to questions that the public still has regarding the relief measures available for registration through the 'We Won't Leave You Behind' website, addressing 16 questions as follows:
1. Are individuals under 18 years old or students eligible for the 5,000 Baht relief payment?
No, they are not eligible as they do not meet the criteria for this measure. Those under 18 or still in school are not considered part of the workforce, nor are they employees or freelancers. If they have student loans, they will already receive debt relief under other assistance measures.
2. Are individuals who were already unemployed eligible for the 5,000 Baht relief payment?
No, they are not eligible because those who were already unemployed do not fall under the category of workers, employees, or freelancers affected by the COVID-19 situation, such as being laid off, having their salaries reduced, or businesses being closed.
3. Are public transport drivers with a type 2 driver's license eligible for the 5,000 Baht relief payment?
They can register in the system, but eligibility will be determined based on the conditions of the measure.
4. Are lottery sellers, taxi drivers, motorcycle taxi drivers, or tour guides eligible for the 5,000 Baht relief payment?
They can register in the system because these professions are already documented by the government, allowing for verification of their hardships.
5. Are individuals with a state welfare card (poor people's card) eligible for the 5,000 Baht relief payment?
They can register in the system, but eligibility will be determined based on the conditions of the measure.
6. Are insured individuals under Sections 39 or 40 eligible for the 5,000 Baht relief payment?
They can register in the system, but eligibility will be determined based on the conditions of the measure.
7. Are online sellers eligible for the 5,000 Baht relief payment?
No, they are not eligible as their businesses are still operating normally, and goods can still be transported, thus they do not meet the criteria for this measure.
8. Are government officials or pensioned officials eligible for the 5,000 Baht relief payment?
No, they are not eligible as they continue to receive regular support from the government.
9. If I successfully registered but realized I entered incorrect information, can I correct or cancel it and register again?
Those who have registered can edit their information. However, if they receive an SMS indicating that their registration was unsuccessful, they can re-register with the correct information. If the registration is complete and has entered the qualification review process, they cannot edit their information or register again.
10. How can I check if my registration was successful?
You can check your registration status as follows:
1. Visit the website www.เราจะไม่ทิ้งกัน.com. If registration is successful, you will see one of two messages: 1) If you provided a mobile number, the message will state, "The system has received your registration information. Please wait for confirmation of your eligibility via SMS and email as registered." 2) If you provided a landline number, the message will state, "The system has received your registration information. Please wait for confirmation via mail after your information has been verified."
2. You will receive an SMS or email (as registered) if the ID card information was incorrect, in which case you can re-register.
3. Call the call center at 02-111-1144 (if you did not receive an email, you can check your status after registering for at least one day).
11. If I go to register and the screen shows the message "Operation failed. Is the ID card number or mobile number already registered?" does that mean my registration was successful?
If the ID card information was entered incorrectly, you will receive an SMS notification to the specified phone number, allowing you to re-register. However, if you do not receive an SMS notification and try to register again, if you see that message, it means your registration was successful, and you should wait for the review results to be notified via SMS or email as registered.
12. If I have canceled my registration, can I register again?
No, you cannot register again as you have accepted the terms and conditions of the cancellation request.
13. Can I use someone else's phone number to register?
You can use a close relative's phone number to register, but one number can only be used for up to five people.
14. If I registered and received an SMS stating "Registration unsuccessful due to incorrect ID card information," what should I do?
You can re-register in the system with the correct information.
15. If I entered the wrong account number, how can I correct it?
If the registrant is eligible, they will receive an SMS indicating that the money transfer was unsuccessful. The registrant can link their ID card to PromptPay to wait for the next round of money transfers.
16. If the screen shows the message "The system has received your registration information. Please wait for confirmation via mail after your information has been verified," is this message legitimate? Why is it different from others?
In this case, the registrant provided a landline number during the registration process, hence they received a different message compared to those who registered with a mobile number, who will receive notifications via SMS and email.
