Meet Michelin Star Chef Manuel Martinez

(Bangkok, August 2018) – Scarlett Wine Bar & Restaurant is excited to welcome back 2-Michelin Star Chef Manuel Martinez, a French chef known for creating and pioneering French cuisine at Scarlett. Chef Manuel will be here for only 5 days from August 28 to September 1.

This time, Chef Manuel returns to craft exquisite French dishes, going back to his roots and presenting authentic French cuisine. He selects high-quality ingredients while maintaining the original Farm-to-Table concept, ensuring the essence of French and European flavors remains intact at Scarlett. This special menu will be served in both à la carte and tasting menu formats.

Chef Manuel Martinez, the owner of the legendary restaurant and 2-Michelin Star establishment Le Relais Louis XIII in Paris, has also been awarded the title of Best Chef in France with the Maître Ouvrier de France (MOF) award. He is widely recognized in the culinary world for his rare talent in perfecting every dish by adapting traditional cooking methods to modern times, resulting in a harmonious blend of elegance and modernity while preserving authenticity. Additionally, Chef Manuel was the creator and pioneer of the Scarlett menu since the restaurant's inception in 2012.

Chef Manuel is passionate about bringing out the true flavors of the ingredients used in every dish, all of which are meticulously selected to create an unforgettable dining experience. Highlights of the menu include appetizers such as organic tomato stuffed with Alaskan king crab, served with vegetables and topped with a secret confit tomato sauce and extra virgin olive oil, followed by main courses like Brittany scallop mousse served with Bouchot mussels marinière emulsion and smoked herring caviar or tender braised veal sweetbread served with girolles mushrooms. Desserts will be served from a cart, featuring a variety of French sweets such as classic Saint Honoré cake and Paris-Brest, among many others.

Chef Manuel Martinez's special menu will be available both à la carte starting at 420++ THB per dish and a 3-course tasting menu for just 3,500++ THB per person.
