The National Housing Authority (NHA) has announced the results of its "Housing Development Loan Program for Low-Income Earners" from 2020 to 2026, approving loans totaling over 2.511 billion baht, helping 3,937 individuals access housing. This reflects the NHA's significant role in improving quality of life and reducing housing inequality, alongside its organizational strategy to develop "Housing for All" and create long-term social security.

The Governor of the National Housing Authority, Mr. Thaveepong Vichaidit, stated that the NHA continues to drive the project forward to increase opportunities for the public, especially low-income and vulnerable groups, to access housing more easily. This is achieved through the development of appropriate financial tools and effective, transparent, and sustainable loan management, which is part of the organization's strategy to reduce inequality and enhance the quality of life for all citizens.

The NHA has set interest rates lower than those of conventional financial institutions to alleviate the financial burden on the public. For the general public, the interest rate is 1.5% during the first four years and 2.4% from the fifth to the fortieth year. For vulnerable groups, the interest rate is 1.5% for the first five years and 2.25% from the sixth to the fortieth year. A total of 3,937 purchase agreements have been made, comprising 3,438 from the general public and 499 from vulnerable groups, including 449 single parents, 38 persons with disabilities, 2 bedridden patients and disabled individuals, and 10 children needing to live near their families. This amounts to a total loan value of 2,511.002 million baht, or 83.13% of the budget framework of 2,960.517 million baht, reflecting the effectiveness of the operations according to the strategic plan focused on equitable access for all target groups.

As of the fiscal year 2026 (data as of March 2026), 319 individuals have accessed loans amounting to 191.915 million baht, reflecting ongoing efforts to expand opportunities for the public to access funding for housing. This is a crucial mechanism in supporting grassroots economic development and strengthening communities in line with sustainable development. "The National Housing Authority will continue to develop and expand access to loans through collaboration with both public and private sectors, ensuring that all groups can have affordable homes, reduce financial constraints, and create life security under the vision of 'Building Homes, Creating Happiness for a Better Quality of Life,'" Mr. Thaveepong concluded.
