Future Retail 2026 - CPN Unveils 3 Key Strategies: Curate-Scale-Tech to Transform Retail into the Core of Urban Economy
Central Pattana is clearly executing this strategy through its vision of A Future-Led Ecosystem, with a 5-year investment plan (2026–2030) worth over 110 billion baht to elevate retail into a full-fledged Urban Platform. Over the past 45 years, Central Pattana has developed a total of 142 projects across 23 provinces.
- 45 shopping centers
- 16 community malls
- 11 office buildings
- 17 hotels
- 53 residential projects
With traffic of over 510 million visits per year, averaging 1.5 million people daily, and over 70 million tourist visits annually, it is expected that mixed-use projects will increase to 33 by 2030, focusing on sustainable development. This initiative has created jobs and distributed income from upstream to downstream, totaling over 1.5 million positions, while moving towards Net Zero by 2050 as planned.

Mega Urban Transformation by Creating New Economic Districts with Long-Term Economic Value:
- The Central District connecting Lat Phrao–Phaholyothin aims to establish The Central District as a new Economic Cluster in Bangkok, transforming Central Ladprao alongside the development of The Central Phaholyothin to elevate the entire area into a unified ecosystem, creating significant economic opportunities for Bangkok, covering 96 rai with a total area (GBA) of 770,000 square meters, nearly the size of CentralWorld.
- Central GR9 Mixed-Use Project – The Future District enhances the potential of the Rama 9 area into a well-established CBD of the future. Central GR9 has been designated as the name of the area, covering 73 rai with a total project area (GBA) of 1.1 million square meters, including Central Rama 9 shopping center and three office buildings: G Tower, R House (formerly Unilever House), and The Ninth Tower. The first phase will transform Central Rama 9 and expand retail space, with a gradual opening scheduled for early 2027.
- Mega Project 750 rai in Rangsit “City of the Future” will be the largest transformation in northern Bangkok, located on Phaholyothin Road, near the Tollway and Motorway M6 (Bang Pa-In–Korat), and close to the Red Line train (Rangsit–Thammasat). It will be designed as a Future City encompassing Retail + Living + Mobility, with a Super Regional Mall at its core to create jobs for a large population.
