Plus Property, a leader in comprehensive property management and residential services, has been selected to participate in the “Pilot Project for Household Waste Sorting in Bangkok Condominiums”, under the collaboration of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, the Environmental Department, the Danish Environmental Protection Agency (DEPA), the Danish Embassy in Thailand, and the Thailand Environment Institute (TEI). This initiative aims to develop a model waste management system in condominiums, aligning with the 'No Mixing' policy and the Waste Management Fee Regulation of 2025. The pilot project will commence in Khlong Toei and Wattana, covering a total of 10 locations. Three condominiums managed by Plus Property have been selected to participate: Siri at Sukhumvit, The Base Sukhumvit 77, and Ideo Morph 38.

Plus Property and all participating organizations, including public and private sector partners, have collectively expressed their commitment to the pilot household waste sorting project to create an effective waste management model for condominiums in Bangkok. This was announced during a press conference held at the Nikko Hotel Bangkok recently.

Public and private sectors collaborate for a study visit at Siri at Sukhumvit.

Following the declaration ceremony, Dr. Wijarn Simachaya, Director of the Thailand Environment Institute, along with H.E. Mr. Danny Annan, the Danish Ambassador to Thailand, representatives from DEPA, and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, along with the media, visited the Siri at Sukhumvit project (a project under the Sansiri brand). The Plus Property team welcomed them and showcased the waste management practices within the condominium project, providing valuable information and a model for proper waste sorting for future projects.

Plus Property continuously manages environmental practices in residential projects, having received ISO 14001 environmental management system certification. Additionally, they have implemented the “Waste to WORTH” project, now in its sixth year, aimed at developing waste sorting structures from the source. Plus Property emphasizes the importance of providing appropriate waste disposal and sorting areas, alongside educating residents to foster environmental awareness and understanding of proper waste separation.

Currently, all projects in Bangkok managed by Plus Property are participating in the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration's 'No Mixing' policy, developing sorting systems and communication in line with government practices while enhancing employee knowledge to ensure efficient waste management within the projects and reduce residents' waste fees.

By 2026, Plus Property aims to reduce total waste by 5% and increase the proportion of recyclable waste to 44% of total waste compared to the previous year. The selection of three out of ten pilot waste sorting projects in Bangkok under Plus Property's management marks a significant step reflecting the organization's readiness to drive concrete waste management systems and serve as a model for future residential projects. The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and its partner networks aim to expand this initiative to 50 districts across Bangkok, as well as other areas and regions in ASEAN in the future.
