On the day when "educational equality" has become a crucial issue for Thai society, Power Buy, part of Central Retail, continues to harness technological potential as a tangible tool to create opportunities for vulnerable groups under its ESG strategy, particularly in the social dimension. Recently, Power Buy collaborated with the Thai Autism Foundation, True Plookpanya, and a network of partners from both the public and private sectors, including Hisense, Toshiba, Electrolux, and TCL, to launch the project titled “Developing the Potential of Individuals with Autism through Digital Technology”. This initiative delivers digital equipment and learning media to 131 learning centers for individuals with autism across 54 provinces nationwide, laying a foundation for learning that aligns with the unique potential of special needs children and their families in the long term.

The project opening ceremony was honored by Mrs. Warangkhana Chairuen, Director of the Special Education Office, Fund for the Promotion and Development of Education for Persons with Disabilities under the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC), who presided over the event, along with Mr. Suwin Kosiamnuay, Managing Director of Power Buy Co., Ltd., Mr. Chusak Chantayanont, President of the Thai Autism Foundation, and Mr. Praphanpong Maknual, Head of True Plookpanya at True Corporation, reflecting the collaborative power of all sectors in driving sustainable social development.

Mr. Suwin Kosiamnuay, Managing Director of Power Buy Co., Ltd., stated, “This project is part of implementing our ESG strategy in practice. Power Buy believes that technology should not be limited to addressing business needs but must also serve as a force to enhance the quality of life for people, especially those with special needs. Leveraging digital expertise and innovation to bridge educational gaps is about creating sustainable positive change for Thai society.”

Mr. Chusak Chantayanont, President of the Thai Autism Foundation, added that providing digital media and training to 131 learning centers nationwide will enhance learning efficiency through the Work Boxes System on the website https://autisticthai.net/, which is designed to develop the skills of individuals with autism comprehensively, including learning, daily living, and self-reliance, which are essential foundations for meaningful participation in society.

This project is part of Power Buy's sustainable development policy, which aims to integrate business operations with systematic social value creation. The company aims to leverage technological potential and partner networks to expand projects that help reduce inequality and increase educational opportunities more broadly. It will continue to develop similar social projects to create sustainable positive impacts on Thai society in the long term.
