ONYX Hospitality Group Moves Forward with Revamping the Amari Hotel Brand in Three Potential Locations
ONYX Hospitality Group, a leading company in Southeast Asia specializing in hotel, resort, serviced apartment, and luxury residential management, reaffirms its vision to be the best medium-sized hospitality management company in Southeast Asia by delivering exceptional guest experiences. The company is set to enhance the image and revamp the Amari hotel brand in several key locations in Bangkok and tourist provinces, including Amari Don Mueang, Amari Buriram, and Amari Phuket. This reflects its commitment to becoming a leader that meets the ever-evolving lifestyles of modern travelers.

Mr. Yuthachai Jaranachit, Chief Executive Officer of ONYX Hospitality Group, which manages hotels, resorts, serviced apartments, and residences under brands such as Amari, OZO, Shama, and Oriental Residence, stated, “ONYX Hospitality Group” believes that maintaining standards and continuously developing hotel brands is crucial for growth. Therefore, we are committed to continuously enhancing the image of the Amari brand to remain competitive in the market and to become the leading hotel and accommodation management company in ASEAN, effectively meeting the diverse needs of today’s travelers.
Amari Don Mueang Hotel is undergoing a significant upgrade, including major renovations to the building structure, guest rooms, lobby, fitness center, and restaurant, all aimed at providing an even better guest experience. The hotel will also introduce ‘Prego Don Mueang,’ a quality Italian restaurant under the internationally renowned ‘Prego’ brand, which has been popular for over 20 years. Amari Buriram Hotel is also being revamped, including the opening of 'Prego Buriram.' Both projects are scheduled for renovation from mid-2025 to mid-2026. Meanwhile, Amari Phuket Hotel is preparing for a makeover to enhance the guest experience in a premium resort atmosphere on Patong Beach, offering stunning views of the Andaman Sea. The redesign will focus on larger guest rooms to cater to the primary target group of international tourists seeking spacious, comfortable accommodations with comprehensive amenities that provide a true sense of relaxation. The project is set to commence in 2027 and is currently in the guest room design phase in preparation for the next construction stage.
The revamp of these three hotels aims to promote the Amari brand's identity more clearly while demonstrating a commitment to maintaining competitive brand standards and effectively meeting the diverse needs of target groups. Over the years, hotels under the Amari brand have been consistently maintained under a systematic maintenance plan, with major renovations occurring every 10 to 15 years. Hotels that have already undergone image revamps include Amari Koh Samui, Amari Bangkok, Amari Pattaya, and most recently, the renovation and rebranding of Amari Bangsaen, which has completely revamped its guest rooms and upgraded amenities to enhance guest satisfaction and maintain excellence in the market, reflecting ONYX Hospitality Group's unwavering efforts to continuously elevate hotel quality.
Mr. Yuthachai further stated that the potential locations of all three projects are highly advantageous. Amari Don Mueang is located near Don Mueang International Airport, allowing travelers to connect directly from the hotel to the airport, making it convenient for those waiting for connecting flights, conference groups from both domestic and international locations, and tourists traveling to other destinations worldwide. This major renovation will provide an impressive brand experience that meets the needs of business and leisure travelers seeking true convenience, aligning with the upcoming expansion plans for Don Mueang International Airport. Meanwhile, Amari Buriram is situated in a prominent location for sports and tourism in Southern Isaan, and Amari Phuket is a leading resort on Patong Beach, known worldwide. This investment in renovations will enhance the charm and value of each hotel, attracting a broader range of target customers and effectively meeting the specific needs of each market, which will be a key factor in strengthening competitive capabilities.
“Currently, hotels under the Amari brand are the flagship of ONYX Hospitality Group, with 16 Amari hotels in operation and consistently strong average occupancy rates across the portfolio, reflecting travelers' confidence in the brand. This is a crucial foundation for driving investment plans to further enhance the guest experience. The investment in this major renovation project for Amari hotels reinforces ONYX Hospitality Group's vision to be the best hotel and accommodation management company in the region. We not only create impressive experiences for guests but also invest in sustainable business growth while maintaining superior service standards in every aspect,” Mr. Yuthachai concluded.
