Insee Concrete, under the Siam City Cement Group, reinforces its goal to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and advances its Sustainable Construction strategy through low-carbon concrete innovation.
The company is moving forward to collaborate with business partners to drive the real estate and construction sectors towards low-carbon cement and concrete innovations, elevating standards for sustainability.

Mr. Montree Nithikul, Chief Executive Officer of Siam City Cement Public Company Limited (Insee) stated the commitment to being part of driving the Thai construction industry towards the goal of reducing carbon dioxide emissions, covering the entire construction process from upstream to downstream. By utilizing low-carbon cement innovations, the company aims to tangibly reduce environmental impacts while enhancing efficiency and elevating the standards of the Thai construction industry for long-term sustainable growth, in line with the group's sustainability goals for 2573.

“The company recognizes the importance of environmental conservation, the efficient use of natural resources, and energy. The global climate change is a significant factor that drives us to accelerate the development, research, and innovation of low-carbon concrete products to meet the evolving needs of consumers,”

Siam City Cement continues to collaborate with business partners to push the real estate and construction sectors towards continuous sustainability. Recently, Insee Concrete, under the Siam City Cement Group, signed a cooperation agreement with Amata, sharing a common goal to develop the business towards sustainability under the concept of “Change... for a livable world.” This marks an important step in raising awareness and encouraging the business sector to participate in carbon reduction for a better future and a sustainable environment, leading to changes and establishing new standards for the Thai construction industry.
Both companies will work together to drive tangible changes towards a low-carbon society, serving as a model for the construction industry to collaborate in sustainably addressing environmental issues. Insee Concrete and Amata believe that sustainable development will be a key to developing green industrial cities and creating a better low-carbon future for Thailand.

Mr. Wiwat Kramdit, Chief Technical Officer and CEO of Amata's real estate business in Thailand stated that this collaboration is not only about using environmentally friendly concrete products but also involves monitoring and assessing the impact of construction materials used in the industry, along with organizing campaigns to raise awareness about the importance of reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Amata is committed to being part of driving and empowering Thailand towards sustainable economic development because we believe that choosing environmentally friendly construction materials can help mitigate global warming by developing innovative and modern construction material technologies to elevate the Thai construction industry to international standards while studying the impacts of using environmentally friendly construction products in detail, both in terms of material performance and durability, to improve industry standards in line with sustainable development approaches.”

On the other hand, Mr. Craig Stewart, CEO of Nakhon Luang Concrete Co., Ltd. stated that Insee Concrete recognizes the importance of the environment in every step of its business operations, thus being environmentally friendly. The "Insee Diamond Easy Flow" high-performance hydraulic cement is designed for all types of concrete work, including general ready-mixed concrete and large infrastructure projects requiring high compressive strength and durability, such as bridges, roads, and tunnels, helping to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from production by an average of 107,000 tons of carbon per year, equivalent to planting over 11 million trees (*source from website - SCCO team, please confirm).

Insee Concrete has been certified to use the carbon footprint certification mark from the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO) as an organization that supports greenhouse gas reduction projects within the country to combat global warming. The products of Insee Concrete that have received carbon footprint certification include 14 products, consisting of ready-mixed concrete with compressive strengths ranging from 180-800 KSC.

“Siam City Cement places great importance on building partnerships with business partners, government agencies, and various organizations to jointly develop environmentally friendly approaches and innovations. We believe that collaboration will help drive sustainable change, promote a circular economy, and maximize resource efficiency for a better future for society and industry. The collaboration between Nakhon Luang Concrete and Amata is another turning point in pushing the Thai industry towards sustainability,” Mr. Montree concluded.
