CCP Reports Steady Business Direction for the Second Half of 2022, Quick Revenue Recognition from Short-Term Projects, Q2/2022 Revenue at 635.54 Million Baht with Net Profit of 1.22 Million Baht
CCP has revealed its business direction for the second half of 2022, indicating stability as the government continues to invest in mega-projects nationwide. In the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), construction is accelerating, driving demand for concrete. The company is adjusting its strategy to focus on short-term projects that allow for quick revenue recognition while continuously bidding for new projects to maintain a backlog of no less than 1.6 billion baht. Additionally, they are preparing to enhance machinery efficiency and manage costs to improve profitability. In Q2/2022, the company reported total revenue of 635.54 million baht and a net profit of 1.22 million baht.

Mr. Arthit Teepakornsukasem, Managing Director of Chonburi Concrete Product Public Company Limited (CCP), stated that the business outlook for the second half of 2022 is expected to remain stable as the government pushes forward with mega-project investments across the country. Infrastructure projects in the EEC and various government agency projects are accelerating construction to meet deadlines, resulting in an improved demand for concrete products.
Furthermore, the company is shifting its strategy to focus on short-term projects that can generate quick revenue while continuously bidding for new projects nationwide to maintain a backlog of at least 1.6 billion baht, ensuring revenue meets set targets.
Additionally, the company plans to enhance production efficiency by installing machinery to reduce reliance on labor, thereby lowering costs and expenses, and improving profitability. They are also developing precast concrete products that address construction challenges, reduce costs, and expedite project completion, such as wall blocks, soil-retaining blocks, and paving blocks, alongside a cost management strategy to mitigate risks from rising fuel prices and fluctuating raw material costs.

In Q2 2022, the company reported total revenue of 635.54 million baht, an increase from 624.88 million baht in the same period last year, with a net profit of 1.22 million baht, down from 10.52 million baht year-on-year.
For the first half of 2022, the company reported total revenue of 1,248.88 million baht, a decrease from 1,299.96 million baht in the same period last year, with a net profit of 7.83 million baht, down from 31.09 million baht year-on-year.
Overall, the increase in Q2 2022 revenue was due to continuous revenue recognition from major projects, including road construction projects from the Department of Highways, the Department of Rural Roads, special intercity highway projects, airport projects, and the Laem Chabang Port expansion, as well as private sector projects like the Rayong Industrial Estate. However, the company's overall performance slightly declined due to the impact of rising raw material costs affecting business operating costs.
