SC Asset showcases its leadership in sustainability within the Thai real estate sector by advancing the #SCeroMission initiative, hosting a major event titled “SCero Together: Transforming the Future of Real Estate Towards Sustainability.” The event invites over 100 leading partners, including SCG, Tata, TOA, Bayer, Bluescope, Daikin, Mitsubishi, and various construction contractors and financial institutions, with the goal of reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 100,000 tons of carbon within 5 years. Senior executives from diverse industries participated to exchange ideas on collaboration for a sustainable future.

Mr. Natthapong Khunakaravong, CEO of SC Asset Corporation Public Company Limited, stated about the event, “In the third decade, SC will grow through diverse businesses while creating value for people and the environment, aiming for net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2065. To date, we have already reduced GHG emissions by over 26,000 tons of carbon through building design, the use of eco-friendly materials, energy efficiency innovations, the installation of solar roofs in over 50 projects, and systematic waste separation.”

Moving forward, SC Asset and its partners will work together to achieve a reduction of GHG emissions by 100,000 tons of carbon within 5 years through three main green strategies: green-well standard, green DNA, and green collaboration.

- green-well standard: Elevating sustainable real estate development by setting standards for all types of properties developed by SC, both residential and income-generating, to be beneficial for the world and people sustainably in every dimension. The new standards will be implemented starting in 2025, covering three dimensions: eco-friendly materials and innovations, energy efficiency in property development, and healthy living through design and material choices that promote well-being for both body and mind.

- green DNA: Aiming to embed sustainability thinking into the DNA of every SC Asset employee through awareness, organizational culture, and serious implementation, ensuring that every role and task contributes to tangible GHG reduction, including educating partners and customers.

- green collaboration: Collaborating with business partners to reduce GHG emissions at every stage of real estate development, from funding, design, procurement, construction, to systematic waste management. Within these 5 years, over 95% of procurement value will come from environmentally friendly materials.

Mr. Natthapong concluded, “SC Asset is committed to green real estate and invites all partners, both existing and new, to join us in driving the ‘SCero Mission’ together, aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 100,000 tons of carbon within 5 years. A sustainable future for the next generation starts with the dedicated collaboration of the current generation.”
