HBA Reports Sales for Home Building Focus 2025 Exceeding Expectations at 3.24 Billion Baht – Professionalism and Consumer Confidence as Strong Factors in the Competitive Bidding Market
The Home Builder Association (HBA) concluded the "Home Building Focus 2025" event with an unexpectedly positive response, boosting sales by 20% to exceed the target of 3.24 billion baht. Attendance increased by 10%, with two popular price segments for homes priced at 2.51 – 5 million baht and 5.01 – 10 million baht accounting for 68.81% of total sales. Looking ahead to the second half of the year, the home building market faces two main factors: positive signals from the overall national market valued at 210 billion baht and new challenges from developers entering the market, emphasizing professionalism and understanding consumer needs while providing comprehensive services to meet all aspects of home building on personal land.

Mr. Anantakorn Amornvatee, President of the Home Builder Association (HBA), revealed that the "Home Building Focus 2025" event held from March 12 to 16, 2025, at Impact Muang Thong Thani Hall 8, achieved results beyond expectations compared to last year. The total sales over the five days grew by 20% compared to the event in 2024, with sales increasing by approximately 8% or 3.24 billion baht from the target of 3 billion baht. The number of attendees also rose by 10% from the original estimate of 10,000 people.
The increase in sales during the event was particularly notable in two price segments: homes priced at 2.51 – 5 million baht at 39.91% and homes priced at 5.01 – 10 million baht at 28.90% of total sales. The remaining sales included homes priced at 10.01 – 20 million baht at 14.22%, those priced below 2.5 million baht at 8.72%, and homes priced at 20.01 million baht and above at 8.25%.

Mr. Anantakorn stated that the increase in sales during the event resulted from continuous consumer awareness efforts through content presented on all online platforms. Additionally, there has been a noticeable increase in consumers from provincial areas utilizing home building services, indicating a positive trend in consumer confidence towards home building companies, which in the past were primarily engaged with construction contractors. This shift is attributed to the credibility of home building companies, their experience, and customer reviews, along with fair and legally sound contracts that do not exploit consumers. The convenience of comprehensive services from a single home building company, including on-time project completion without budget overruns, fosters trust, especially for companies that are members of the association.

As for the home building market in the first half of 2025, it is essential to monitor various factors, including the overall economic situation of the country, which affects consumer confidence and decisions to build homes, as well as increased competition from new service providers. The entry of major developers into the home building market, which shares a total market value of 210 billion baht, adds to this competitive landscape.
This trend highlights the "opportunity" for the home building business, which still has significant potential for growth due to the demand for home construction across the country, particularly for homes priced at 10 – 20 million baht and above, attracting more developers to enter the market.

Mr. Anantakorn views the entry of real estate companies into the home building business as a positive opportunity for consumers. At the same time, home building operators must adapt by identifying their unique selling points and ensuring consumer confidence in construction quality, service, home designs, reasonable pricing, and the use of quality materials as agreed with clients to create a competitive advantage in the market and enhance brand recognition among consumers.
