National Housing Authority Continues Project to Integrate Youth in Communities into Education System for Immediate Employment
Mr. Thaveepong Vichaidit, Governor of the National Housing Authority, revealed that according to the policy of Mr. Warawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Social Development and Human Security, there is a significant focus on housing development and improving the quality of life for residents in National Housing Authority communities, encompassing social, economic, and environmental aspects. The National Housing Authority recognizes the importance of the quality of life for these citizens and has therefore established a memorandum of understanding for educational collaboration aimed at developing children and youth in National Housing Authority communities with CP ALL Public Company Limited and Panyapiwat Technological College (PAT). This initiative aims to provide equal educational opportunities, career paths, and income for youth, enabling them to support themselves and their families. Panyapiwat Technological College will implement a dual education system, combining theoretical learning with practical experience, supporting knowledge creation for career development, and training students to become modern entrepreneurs. The entire course is free, and students will earn an income while studying, guaranteeing immediate employment upon graduation, thus fostering responsible citizens who will be vital to the nation's future.

Mr. Thaveepong Vichaidit, Governor of the National Housing Authority
The National Housing Authority is creating a participatory process with community leaders by organizing a seminar on the topic “Vocational Premium High Performance” at the Panyayangam Meeting Room, 5th Floor, Panyapiwat Technological College. This seminar aims to enhance community leaders' understanding of managing and developing high-quality education, enabling them to convey this knowledge to target groups and present the various benefits that students should receive while studying at Panyapiwat Learning Center, including the network of 20 Panyapiwat Learning Centers across the country, both in central and regional areas, and educational institutions collaborating in various provinces nationwide, such as Phetkasem Learning Center (Phetkasem 54), Rangsit (Phaholyothin 72), Samrong (Samrong Tai 7), Rama 2 (Rama 2 Soi 42), Lampang, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Chonburi, Nakhon Ratchasima, Khon Kaen, Phetchaburi, and Hat Yai, among others.
Mr. Thaveepong stated that youth in National Housing Authority communities will have the opportunity to pursue vocational certificates (Vocational Certificate) and higher vocational certificates (Higher Vocational Certificate) in fields such as retail business, electrical engineering, mechatronics and robotics, and watch technology, along with support for vocational training activities. The collaborative academic knowledge aims to equip students with skills and real work experience to create stable careers and income. In the 2024 academic year, there will be 9 youths residing in National Housing Authority housing projects enrolled in vocational certificate programs. Following this, the National Housing Authority will conduct in-depth outreach to raise awareness among residents in the community, ensuring that children and youth in National Housing Authority communities have educational opportunities, develop knowledge and skills, and enhance their business potential, allowing the next generation of National Housing Authority community members nationwide to study locally without having to travel long distances, thus strengthening their communities and economies.
“The dual education system has the advantage that youth will gain real work experience at 7-Eleven, learning the basic operations of a retail store, starting from cleaning the sales area and products, arranging merchandise, sales, cashiering, financial accounting, ordering products, and promoting sales comprehensively until graduation. This will enable educated youth to secure immediate employment,” concluded Mr. Thaveepong.
