‘Ally REIT Management’ the manager of the ALLY trust, anticipates that the retail industry and lifestyle REIT sector will gradually expand in 2025, benefiting from the ongoing recovery of tourism and the government’s Easy E-Receipt 2.0 initiative. This program offers tax deductions of up to 50,000 baht from January 16 to February 28, 2025, which is expected to stimulate spending and increase traffic in shopping centers, positively impacting the ALLY trust that holds retail assets. Given these factors, REITs are an attractive investment option for those looking to diversify risk and achieve consistent returns.

Mr. Kwinthir Eamsakulrat, Chief Executive Officer of Ally REIT Management Co., Ltd., as the manager of the Ally trust or ALLY, stated that the retail industry and lifestyle REIT sector in 2025 is expected to gradually expand due to the continuous increase in foreign tourists. The government’s “Easy E-Receipt 2.0” initiative, which offers tax deductions, will encourage spending and increase traffic in shopping centers, benefiting the ALLY trust with its retail assets. This makes REITs an interesting investment choice for investors looking to diversify risk and achieve steady returns.

The shopping centers managed by ALLY are located in prime areas surrounded by densely populated residential communities and are close to tourist hotspots, allowing for diverse customer access and increasing demand for rental space, as well as attracting new tenants.

Mr. Kwinthir further stated that in 2025, the ALLY trust plans to operate under the framework of “STRATEGIC HIGHLIGHTS: Largest Portfolio of Green Community Malls and Retail Mixed-use Properties in Thailand” through three strategies: 1.) Green Public Space focusing on expanding green areas in all projects for a more pleasant environment; 2.) Curated Tenants & Mix selecting diverse tenants suitable for each project; and 3.) ESG Leadership aiming to be an ESG leader in each project, with a goal to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, reinforcing its identity as a “Green Community Mall.”

Meanwhile, the ALLY trust is exploring and studying the feasibility of new investment projects, aiming to invest in at least three new projects in 2025, with a total value of approximately 250 million baht. The focus will be on assets with potential, including quality locations with growth prospects, functional design, green spaces, a solid and diverse tenant base, experienced developers, and properties that yield good returns. A conclusion is expected in the second half of 2025.

“Currently, the company is studying to consider investing in three Community Mall projects, with a total value of approximately 250 million baht, using funding from loans from financial institutions and excess liquidity approved by trust unit holders last year. The investment is expected to be completed in the second half of 2025,” Mr. Kwinthir stated.

Additionally, the trust is preparing to organize promotional events suitable for various festivals to meet the lifestyle needs of target groups such as families, children, and pet-friendly audiences. Soon, the community malls under ALLY will host the grand Chinese New Year festival “ALLY HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR 2025,” celebrating the auspicious year with dragon and lion dance performances, along with illuminated peony flowers symbolizing wealth and fortune. This event aims to impress and bless visitors, inviting customers to experience the grand Chinese New Year atmosphere from January 20 to February 2, 2025, at ALLY shopping centers, creating joy to celebrate the auspicious year together.
