The National Housing Authority has opened online registration for the rental housing project in Udon Thani (Sam Phrao) and Chiang Mai (Nong Hoi) from now until December 15, 2024. The monthly rent ranges from 1,200 to 2,100 baht, within a spacious project that includes parking, CCTV, and 24-hour security personnel, located in a convenient area close to community centers, educational institutions, shopping malls, and the airport.

Mr. Thaveepong Vichaidit, Governor of the National Housing Authority, stated that the authority's mission is to develop and create housing for low to middle-income citizens, both for sale and rent, to help them access affordable housing with standards that enhance the quality of life for residents. Therefore, the authority has developed rental housing projects distributed across all regions of the country. Currently, there are 12 rental housing projects ready for occupancy, including Samut Sakhon (Krathum Baen 3), Nakhon Sawan Phase 2, Maha Sarakham, Lampang, Surin (Salak Dai), Ubon Ratchathani, Kanchanaburi, Phang Nga (Takua Pa), Chonburi (Laem Chabang) Phase 1, Samut Prakan (Bang Phli), as well as the rental housing projects in Udon Thani (Sam Phrao) and Chiang Mai (Nong Hoi).

The rental housing project in Udon Thani (Sam Phrao) is located on Mittraphap Road (Bypass), Sam Phrao Subdistrict, Mueang District, Udon Thani Province. It consists of 4 five-story residential buildings with a total of 544 units, each approximately 28 square meters. The monthly rent is between 1,200 and 2,000 baht. The first floor of each building prioritizes rental rights for the elderly and persons with disabilities. Facilities are designed to accommodate the needs of elderly residents or those with disabilities, including wheelchair ramps, sliding bathroom doors, handrails for support, and shower seating. It consists of 1 five-story residential building with a total of 102 units, each approximately 28 square meters. The monthly rent ranges from 1,500 to 2,100 baht. The first floor of the building also prioritizes rental rights for the elderly and persons with disabilities. Eligibility and criteria for rental rights are divided into 3 groups: Group 1 includes the elderly and persons with disabilities with a monthly income not exceeding 30,000 baht. The elderly must be at least 60 years old at the time of signing the contract, and persons with disabilities must hold a disability identification card and be at least 20 years old at the time of signing the contract. Group 2 includes holders of the state welfare card with an annual income not exceeding 100,000 baht. Group 3 includes the general public with a monthly income not exceeding 30,000 baht and aged 20 years or older. Regarding rental conditions, the National Housing Authority requires a security deposit of 1 month’s rent and 1 month’s advance rent, granting rental rights to 1 person per room/contract, with a household size not exceeding 4 people. Subletting the rented room to others is prohibited; if discovered, the National Housing Authority will revoke the rental rights of those who sublet and reclaim the room immediately, and will contract directly with the subtenant thereafter.
