SAM Restructures Organization, Strengthens Leadership with 4 New Executives to Enhance Agility and Work Efficiency for Sustainable Growth
Ms. Narathnaree Ratpattay, Managing Director of Sukhumvit Asset Management Company Limited (SAM) announced that the company has restructured its organization to better align with current conditions, enhancing agility and work efficiency to prepare for competition and sustainable growth. This move aims to achieve the larger goal of becoming a state asset management company that supports the sustainable recovery of citizens and businesses, ultimately benefiting the overall economy of the country.
SAM has appointed a total of 4 new executives across various divisions: 1. Mr. Surathai Ratchatanawin (far left), Deputy Managing Director of Finance, Operations, and Technology, 2. Mr. Chiwit Prangchaikool (2nd from left), Deputy Managing Director of Legal and Business Support, 3. Mr. Kritsanapong Kitsanapithak (far right), Senior Assistant Managing Director of Debt Management, 4. Mr. Surong Suwannavanich (2nd from right), Senior Assistant Managing Director of Asset Management. Their appointments are effective from August 1, 2024.
“The challenges for SAM for the remainder of this year include adapting management practices to current situations, such as restructuring the organization for greater agility, filling key positions that are still vacant, improving work processes, revising redundant or inconsistent regulations/orders to ensure checks and balances, and developing a new IT master plan to support future business. This also includes financial management concerning new accounting standards, resolving debtor groups, and allocating portfolios to reflect current situations. These are all tasks that SAM must undertake simultaneously to fully drive the business forward next year,” Ms. Narathnaree stated.
Mr. Surathai Ratchatanawin holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Thammasat University and a Master's degree in Economics and International Finance from Chulalongkorn University. He has experience in the finance sector with leading companies investing in various industries and publicly listed companies, including Fico Corporation, Warrix Sport Public Company Limited, TMBThanachart Bank (ttb), Standard Chartered Bank (Thailand), Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation (OCBC), Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC), UOB, Kasikorn Bank, and Krungsri Bank.
Mr. Chiwit Prangchaikool earned a Bachelor's degree in Law from Thammasat University, a Master's degree in Governance from Chulalongkorn University, and a Master's degree in Law from the University of Aberdeen in the UK. He has worked in finance and law at Government Savings Bank, TMBThanachart Bank (ttb), Kasikorn Bank, Hunton & Williams (Thailand), and White & Case.
Mr. Surong Suwannavanich holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Chulalongkorn University and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Houston-Clear Lake in the USA. He has over 2 years of experience with SAM as an Assistant Managing Director in Investment Management and Asset Management and has worked in real estate, finance, energy, and engineering sectors with Chulalongkorn University, Asia Green Energy Public Company Limited, Navanakorn Power Plant Company, Bangkok Capital Alliance, the Government Pension Fund (GPF), Industrial Securities Company, and B.Grimm Engineering Systems.
Mr. Kritsanapong Kitsanapithak holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Bangkok University and a Master's degree in Business Administration from Bangkok University. He has over 19 years of experience with SAM in debt management, Corporate & SME management, investment management, strategic planning, business development, and special projects. Additionally, he has experience in finance from Thai Bank and Asia Bank.
