Nakhon Luang Cement Wins ESG100 Award for the 4th Year
Nakhon Luang Cement Public Company Limited <\/span>has been selected as one of the 100 listed companies recognized for outstanding performance in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices, out of a total of 920 listed companies. It is also one of the 4 companies out of 21 in the property and construction sector to receive this award, earning the ESG100 Company certificate from the Thailand Development Institute for the 4th consecutive year.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>
Mr. Ranjan Sazdeva, CEO of Nakhon Luang Cement Group, or INSEE <\/span><\/strong>stated that the Nakhon Luang Cement Group prioritizes operations that benefit the environment and society by adhering to good corporate governance principles, which are fundamental to the company's culture. The company supports sustainable development in all communities and societies where it operates, while also conserving and valuing natural resources.<\/span><\/p>
The Thailand Development Institute is a public benefit organization focused on promoting sustainable business development and corporate social responsibility in the private sector. The ESG Rating unit of the Thailand Development Institute has compiled a list of 100 listed companies recognized for their outstanding ESG practices based on assessments of sustainability data from businesses in Thailand, catering to investors who prioritize socially and environmentally responsible companies with good governance.<\/span><\/p>
The selection and certification process for the ESG100 companies by the Thailand Development Institute relies on ESG data published by companies in their annual information disclosure (Form 56-1) to the Securities and Exchange Commission, particularly in the area of corporate social responsibility (CSR), as well as ESG data disclosed in annual reports (Form 56-2) or sustainability reports.<\/span><\/p>
The assessment for the ESG100 includes preliminary screening criteria and main evaluation criteria, utilizing the 12 principles of the CORE Framework based on the Global Initiative for Sustainability Ratings (GISR) to develop the rating methodology, covering both process and content aspects.<\/span><\/p>
“The Nakhon Luang Cement Group continues to uphold its standards as an industry leader operating under sustainable development policies with good governance, responsible to communities, society, and the environment, aiming for the sustainable development goals of the group by 2030 (INSEE Sustainability Ambition 2030),” Mr. Ranjan concluded.<\/span><\/p>
