"Crocodile" Supports the Development of Thai Youth into Professional Badminton with the 10th Anniversary of the "JORAKAY JUNIOR BADMINTON CHAMPIONSHIP" Expanding to 4 Competition Venues Nationwide
Crocodile Corporation Co., Ltd. is moving forward to support youth badminton, partnering with the Badminton Association of Thailand under the Royal Patronage to empower Thai youth to pave their way to becoming world-class players and fulfill their dreams of becoming professional athletes through continued support for the "JORAKAY JUNIOR BADMINTON CHAMPIONSHIP" in its 10th year and inviting everyone to enjoy the excitement of the first competition from July 17-21, 2024, at Terminal 21 Korat. This year's event will be even more grand with the addition of 4 competition venues across the country and a total prize money of 656,800 Baht, along with the introduction of 2 young rising stars from the Thai national team who have succeeded in their badminton journey through this project.

One testament to the success of the JORAKAY JUNIOR BADMINTON CHAMPIONSHIP in inspiring Thai youth to achieve their dreams in badminton is “Kai” Nachakorn Phusri, the number 1 youth badminton player in Thailand in the men's singles category, affiliated with the Plasna Badminton Club and ranked 19th in the world. He participated in this event 10 years ago. “Kai” said, "I registered for this competition because I thought it was a very interesting event and a standard venue that allowed us to fully showcase our training progress. Today, I can confidently say that this event has been an important experience that helped youth athletes like me earn points to advance to the national team or become professional athletes. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Crocodile for supporting and providing opportunities for me and many other youth to pursue our dreams in badminton. Personally, I aim to climb to the TOP 10 in the world rankings."


Another rising star who has participated in the JORAKAY JUNIOR BADMINTON CHAMPIONSHIP is “Boom” Thidaporn Kleebyisut, a 19-year-old from the Ban Thong Yod Badminton Club, ranked 232nd in the world. She said, "When I started playing badminton, I felt it was fun, and I set a goal to compete, meet friends, and dream of competing abroad to meet more famous and skilled players, even aspiring to be a world champion. When I saw the JORAKAY JUNIOR BADMINTON CHAMPIONSHIP open for registration on the website and saw the project details on Facebook, I was interested and decided to register. Besides winning prize money, I learned many things that Crocodile provided, making it a great competition experience for youth like us. I encourage everyone to come cheer for the new generation in the JORAKAY JUNIOR BADMINTON CHAMPIONSHIP!"
Another highlight of the 10th JORAKAY JUNIOR BADMINTON CHAMPIONSHIP is the expansion to 4 competition venues in 4 regions across Thailand, along with a total prize money of over 656,800 Baht to elevate the excitement and engagement of the competition. The details of the venues and competition dates are as follows:
Venue 1: Accumulation Level 5 from July 17 - 21, 2024, at Terminal 21 Korat
Venue 2: Accumulation Level 5 from August 31 - September 4, 2024, at Chiang Mai 700 Year Sports Complex
Venue 3: Accumulation Level 5 from October 26 - 29, 2024, at Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai
Venue 4: Accumulation Level 5 from December 24 - 28, 2024, with the competition location to be announced soon
The competition will include 5 categories: 1. Men's Singles 2. Women's Singles 3. Men's Doubles 4. Women's Doubles and 5. Mixed Doubles across 5 age groups: under 9 years, 11 years, 13 years, 15 years, and 17 years.

Additionally, “Crocodile” is committed to creating a society in line with sustainable development principles by using recycled materials to produce equipment and supplies for the competition, such as lanyards made from fibers of 600 ml plastic bottles (50 bottles per lanyard) and recycled blanket pillows made from fibers of 1500 ml plastic bottles (27 bottles). These materials are carefully processed and designed to be aesthetically pleasing and functional. Furthermore, eco-friendly materials that can be recycled into circular products are used for decorating the competition venues to enhance the competition's image in line with Crocodile's sustainability concept.

“Crocodile” remains committed to promoting the development of human resources in society continuously, especially among the new generation of youth, through supporting engaging competitions at both community and national levels, with the goal of expanding support to international sports tournaments in the future to be part of creating a world where people can grow together sustainably.
