DAD Signs Agreement with the Revenue Department and the Treasury Department to Build a 17-Story Building Worth Over a Billion Baht on Sukhumvit Soi 11
DAD has secured the rights to develop office and residential buildings for the Revenue Department, marking the official signing of a memorandum of understanding among three agencies: the Revenue Department, the Treasury Department, and DAD. They are set to construct a 17-story building on Sukhumvit Soi 11, with a project value nearing 1 billion baht and a lease term of 15 years.

Ms. Kulaya Tantitemit, Director-General of the Revenue Department, Mr. Jamroen Phothiyod, Director-General of the Treasury Department, and Dr. Nalika Atipak Saengsanit, Managing Director of DAD Asset Development, jointly signed the memorandum of understanding for the construction of office and residential buildings for the Revenue Department. They agreed to utilize state land under the supervision of the Treasury Department for this project, located on Sukhumvit Soi 11, with DAD Asset Development responsible for project development and construction oversight.

Ms. Kulaya Tantitemit, Director-General of the Revenue Department, stated that the Revenue Department has a policy to construct office and residential buildings for its staff to replace the existing office building, which is in a dilapidated condition due to its 30 years of use. This initiative aims to reduce the burden of rental costs for the old office. Therefore, the Revenue Department sought collaboration with DAD Asset Development, a state enterprise under the Ministry of Finance, to conduct a feasibility study for the construction. The Revenue Department will enter into a lease agreement with DAD for a period of 15 years to serve as the headquarters for four Revenue offices, including Regional Revenue Office 2, Bangkok Revenue Office 13, Bangkok Revenue Office 14, and the Wattana Branch Revenue Office, as well as residential accommodations for staff working in these offices.
Mr. Jamroen Phothiyod, Director-General of the Treasury Department, Ministry of Finance, mentioned that the implementation of this memorandum of understanding will comply with laws regarding state land and relevant cabinet resolutions. The land granted to DAD for lease and construction of this building measures 1 rai, 3 ngan, and 69 square wah, located within Sukhumvit Soi 11, Watthana District, Bangkok.
Mr. Nalika Atipak Saengsanit, Managing Director of DAD Asset Development, stated that the office and residential building for the Revenue Department will be a 17-story structure with a usable area of approximately 22,082 square meters, comprising 10,191 square meters of office space and 52 residential units of 35 square meters each, along with parking for about 187 vehicles. The project value is 992 million baht, which includes construction, decoration, and procurement of furniture. DAD has designed the building to be energy-efficient, featuring solar panels on the rooftop capable of generating approximately 100 kW of electricity, and using insulated glass to prevent heat from sunlight. The rooftop and interior of the building will include over 700 square meters of green space. After the building is delivered, the contractor will be responsible for repair and maintenance costs for the first two years, after which the Revenue Department will take over these responsibilities starting from the third year.
