Alpha Industrial Solutions is advancing its 5-year strategic plan in collaboration with SCGJWD Logistics, the largest integrated logistics and supply chain service provider in ASEAN. They held a ceremony to lay the foundation stone for the second cold storage warehouse and temperature-controlled distribution center, covering an area of 14,000 square meters and featuring various functions such as a Mobile Racking System and Automation System. Located in the promising area of Alpha Rangsit, this facility aims to support the demand from the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries in the northern and northeastern regions, as well as imported goods through Don Mueang Airport before distributing them nationwide. The center is expected to be operational by the first quarter of 2025, increasing the total cold storage area to 34,000 square meters following the opening of the first facility in Bangna-Trad at the beginning of 2023.

Mr. Pathan Sombunrinsin, CEO of Alpha Industrial Solutions Co., Ltd. or ALPHA, a comprehensive industrial real estate development company under a joint venture between Origin Property Public Company Limited or ORI and SCGJWD Logistics Public Company Limited, stated that the company is committed to advancing its 5-year strategic plan to develop logistics warehouses in strategic locations across the country, totaling 1 million square meters, while continuously closing deals with partners and collaborators. Recently, the company partnered with SCGJWD to establish the second cold storage warehouse and temperature-controlled distribution center in the Alpha Rangsit project.

The cold storage warehouse and temperature-controlled distribution center are being developed with an investment of over 500 million baht, covering an area of over 14,000 square meters. It features an automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS) with over 20,000 pallets and a solar rooftop energy system. Given its strategic location within the Alpha Rangsit project, this distribution center can accommodate products produced in nearby industrial estates, as well as goods from the northern and northeastern regions, including imported products through Don Mueang Airport, covering service areas in Bangkok and its vicinity. It can also distribute products to customers in upper Bangkok within just one business day.

Mr. Jitchai Nimittapanja, Vice Chairman of SCGJWD Logistics Public Company Limited, stated that SCGJWD is committed to developing a comprehensive temperature-controlled logistics system to help maintain quality and reduce damage or deterioration of products at every stage, especially during delivery and storage before reaching consumers. Therefore, they are seeking opportunities to develop the second cold storage warehouse and temperature-controlled distribution center in collaboration with Alpha to meet the demands of various industries requiring cold storage facilities, assigning Alpha to procure land and develop the new warehouse.

Alpha has the capability to develop innovative warehouses and distribution centers as required by the company, such as on-floor storage, selective racking, mobile racking systems, and additional services like sorting areas, product labeling, and a warehouse management system that allows for the distribution of various product types, including pallets, boxes, and individual items, with storage temperatures ranging from -20 degrees Celsius to +25 degrees Celsius. The temperature-controlled warehouse and distribution center at Alpha Rangsit can accommodate frozen food, chilled products, beverages, and temperature-sensitive items such as pharmaceuticals, effectively meeting all customer needs.

Initially, the company expects the second temperature-controlled warehouse and distribution center to be operational in the first quarter of 2025. Together with the first temperature-controlled distribution center at the Alpha Bangna Km. 22 project, which opened in early 2023 on an area of 22,000 square meters, this will reinforce its position as a leading cold storage service provider in Thailand.
