Sky Group Achieves New High with Revenue of 4.1 Billion Baht and Profit of 546 Million Baht, Growing 161% Confident in Continued Growth in 2024 Due to Tourism Boom Supporting Airport Projects
Sky Group has announced its financial results for the year 2023, achieving a revenue of 4.119 billion baht, a growth of 47%, and a net profit of 546 million baht, soaring 161% as tourism remains vibrant with passenger traffic meeting expectations. This has led to a surge in revenue from airport-related projects, resulting in a strong backlog of 23.213 billion baht. The company is confident that in 2024, the recovery in tourism will continue to support the growth of its Aviation Tech and Airport Services businesses.
Mr. Sitthidet Mailap, CEO of Sky ICT Public Company Limited (Sky Group), revealed that in the fourth quarter of 2023 (October-December), the company generated total revenue of 1.277 billion baht and a net profit of 213 million baht, marking a growth of 51% and 156% respectively compared to the same quarter last year (YoY%). This resulted in the company achieving total revenue of 4.119 billion baht and a net profit of 546 million baht for the entire year, growing 47% and 161% respectively compared to the same period last year (YoY%). The significant growth and new highs were driven by the recovery of the global tourism industry, with average passenger traffic increasing from 70,000 to approximately 153,000 people per day, an increase of over 150% in 2023, which boosted revenue from airport-related projects such as the Common Use Passenger Processing System (CUPPS) and Advanced Passenger Processing System (APPS).
As of the end of 2023, the company has entered into new contracts and has a backlog of approximately 23.213 billion baht, which will gradually contribute to Sky Group's revenue over the next 6-7 years.
Mr. Sitthidet stated that the government's tourism stimulus policy aims to transform Suvarnabhumi Airport into a Digital Airport to accommodate the influx of international tourists into Thailand. As a leader in Aviation Tech, Sky Group is ready to drive its business in line with government policies and elevate the standards of airport services in Thailand to meet global standards, supporting tourists and the tourism industry, which is a crucial engine for driving the country's economy.
Mr. Sitthidet further mentioned that in addition to recognizing revenue from various airport-related projects, Sky Group plans to bring Pro Inside Company Limited to raise funds in the stock market within this year to support the expansion of government project work, while also recognizing full-year revenue from Mether Company Limited, which operates smart facility management, becoming a key player in penetrating the private sector.
“Sky Group is confident that overall, the company will continue to grow steadily and sustainably this year. We are looking for new investment opportunities in high-potential businesses and continuously preparing the company in terms of technology and personnel to face new opportunities and challenges, such as smart security technology, digital platforms, and expanding into various technology businesses in the future to strengthen the company continuously,” Mr. Sitthidet concluded.
