FTREIT announced its financial results for Q1 of fiscal year 2024 (October - December 2023), reporting total revenue of 989.7 million baht, a growth of 6.2% compared to the same period last year. Net investment income was 636.8 million baht, and a dividend of 0.1870 baht per unit is set to be paid on March 7, 2024. The company plans to invest nearly 2.5 billion baht to acquire approximately 100,000 square meters of new rental space.
Mr. Thanaratch Boonyakosol, Managing Director of Frasers Property Industrial REIT Management (Thailand) Co., Ltd. or “FIRM,” as the trustee manager of the Frasers Property Industrial REIT, stated that strong management capabilities and increased rental space from last year's investments have resulted in stable performance for FTREIT in Q1 of fiscal year 2024 (October – December 2023), with an average occupancy rate of 85.5%. This year, the company plans to invest 2,000 - 2,500 million baht and aims to grow the trust's portfolio to over 50 billion baht, focusing on high-quality assets from the Frasers Property Group (Thailand) and external parties located in strategic transportation and industrial areas with high growth potential, to continuously enhance FTREIT's revenue while providing good returns to trust unit holders.
FIRM expects that the Thai economy in 2024 will improve due to the recovery of the tourism sector, exports, and domestic consumption. It will be important to monitor various economic stimulus measures from the government, including the digital wallet project and efforts to attract foreign investment, all of which are expected to drive increased demand for factory and warehouse rental space.
