Mr. Thaveepong Wichaidit, Governor of the National Housing Authority, stated that on December 25, 2023, the National Housing Authority signed an educational cooperation agreement to develop children and youth in its communities with CP All Public Company Limited and Panyapiwat Technological College. This initiative aligns with the policy of Mr. Warawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Social Development and Human Security, aiming to provide educational opportunities for children and youth in National Housing Authority communities to enhance their knowledge, skills, and business potential. This will allow the children of National Housing Authority communities nationwide to study without leaving their homes and families, fostering a stronger community and economy.

The National Housing Authority is now accepting applications from children and youth in its communities to enroll in the modern retail business program at the vocational certificate level (Vocational Certificate). Applicants must be aged 15-20 and have completed at least grade 9 or its equivalent to study at Panyapiwat Technological College or one of the 20 Panyapiwat Learning Centers, such as the Petchkasem Learning Center (Petchkasem 54), Rangsit (Phahonyothin 72), Samrong (Samrong Tai 7), Rama 2 (Rama 2 Soi 42), Lampang, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Chonburi, Nakhon Ratchasima, Khon Kaen, Phetchaburi, Hat Yai, etc. Those interested in applying for the higher vocational certificate (Higher Vocational Certificate) must be aged 17-22 and have completed a vocational certificate, grade 12, or its equivalent to study at Panyapiwat Technological College. Additionally, applicants must be endorsed by the National Housing Authority and pass the selection process at Panyapiwat Technological College or the Panyapiwat Learning Centers. Applicants must also be free of tattoos, exhibit good behavior, and pass a health check at a public or private hospital using the forms provided by Panyapiwat Technological College or the Panyapiwat Learning Centers. Selected candidates will receive a full scholarship for the entire program and a stipend during their practical training, with guaranteed employment upon graduation. Interested individuals can inquire for more details at provincial housing offices nationwide from today until April 30, 2024.

Mr. Thaveepong Wichaidit further mentioned that the teaching and learning will follow a dual education system, alternating between theoretical and practical training, or real work at 7-Eleven stores until graduation. The practical training will cover basic retail operations, including cleaning sales areas and products, stocking shelves, sales assistance, cashier duties, financial accounting, and promotions. Upon graduation, CP ALL will employ youth who meet the qualifications and educational requirements set by the company.

“The National Housing Authority would like to thank CP ALL and Panyapiwat Technological College for providing educational opportunities for children and youth in National Housing Authority communities to learn and gain vocational skills through real work experience. This will help children and youth become more responsible for themselves and their families, as well as appreciate the value of money earned through their own efforts,” Mr. Thaveepong concluded.
