DAD Asset Development Elevates to One-Stop Service for Government Building Construction in 2024, Aiming for 100% Revenue Growth
DAD Asset Development Co., Ltd. (DAD) has announced its transformation into a one-stop service for government building construction, highlighting its expertise in innovative green building design. The company aims to upgrade the Chaeng Watthana Government Complex into a smart "model of a low-carbon green city" that is modern and sustainable, with a target to double its revenue in 2024.

Dr. Nalika Atipak Saengsanit, Managing Director of DAD, and Executive of the Chaeng Watthana Government Complex, stated that in 2023, DAD generated a total revenue of 2.625 billion baht, with approximately 2.563 billion baht coming from the government complex, which has over 1.6 million square meters of rental space, and an additional 62 million baht from other sources. In 2024, the company expects to increase its revenue by more than double, with plans to design and construct at least two buildings annually from 2024 to 2027. This year, DAD is preparing to construct two new projects worth over 11.953 billion baht, namely: The construction of an office and residential building for the Revenue Department on Sukhumvit Soi 11, with a budget of 992 million baht, and the construction of an office building and sports field for the Department of Physical Education in Samut Prakan, with a budget of 10.961 billion baht.

Additionally, there are two more projects under discussion for construction: a document storage facility with a five-story parking garage (PPP) and a new office building for the Excise Department Region 10 in the Lat Phrao-Wang Hin area. DAD is also ready to continuously develop other projects for government agencies.

As part of its strategy to elevate the organization towards sustainability, DAD will incorporate innovations in the development and enhancement of the government complex to become a "model of a low-carbon green city," which serves as a selling point and strength to expand its business in developing and constructing environmentally friendly green buildings, reaffirming its position as "a leader in real estate development for the government."

DAD also plans to develop its personnel to specialize in green buildings, energy management, and maintenance, as well as to create plans or guidelines for reducing greenhouse gas emissions to support the development of government projects as a one-stop service from design, construction, and management using new innovations to enhance customer service and building users.

This will begin with upgrading the Thanaphiphat Building, which serves as DAD's office, to become a model Net Zero building by 2027, as it is designed to be energy-efficient both in engineering and architecture, meeting the highest sustainability standards set by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für nachhaltiges Bauen (DGNB) at the Platinum level from the German Sustainable Building Council. Currently, part of the building's energy comes from solar panels, and plans are in place to switch to 100% renewable energy by 2027.

Furthermore, there is a continuous focus on managing the Chaeng Watthana Government Complex, with recent plans to elevate it to a "model of a low-carbon green city" that is smart, emphasizing energy-efficient building designs for Buildings A, B, C, and the parking structure, while also implementing innovations in water management, including recycling wastewater and harvesting rainwater for beneficial use.

Construction of an underpass for vehicles in front of Buildings B and C is also underway, with the area above the underpass being transformed into a public park and a walkway connecting Buildings B and C. The landscaping will create green spaces in various vacant areas, both at ground level and on rooftops, designed as public parks. Once completed, there will be approximately 145 rai of green space in this government complex out of a total of 449 rai, which can serve as a lung for the main area of Laksi and Chaeng Watthana.
