SHARGE Rebrands to RÊVERSHARGER, Reinforcing Its Position as the Number 1 Comprehensive EV Charger Business, Expanding High-Speed Charging Stations Nationwide to Support 150,000 Users and Capture 50% Market Share
SHARGE has rebranded to "RÊVERSHARGER" as part of its RÊVERLUTION plan to drive a low-carbon society. The company has partnered with major players including Revo Automotive, Bangchak, and energy service providers to expand its network of public high-speed EV charging stations by an additional 370 locations with 1,320 charging points, covering 68 provinces nationwide. This expansion includes BYD car showrooms, city gas stations, and highway stations, enhancing the EV ecosystem and boosting consumer confidence in purchasing EVs for long-distance travel, while also facilitating carbon credit exchanges. By 2024, the company aims to have over 2,012 public charging points, solidifying its status as the leading EV charging solution provider with a comprehensive range of services, including various app functionalities to assist travelers, such as Trip Planning to recommend charging stations along travel routes, a Customer Onboarding System, and Plug and Charge for easy vehicle registration and immediate charging. The app is expected to reach 150,000 users, capturing over 50% market share and welcoming partnerships to drive EV charging stations for taxis, buses, and other related businesses.

Mr. Pirapat Sirichantaropas, Managing Director of Charge Management Co., Ltd. or SHARGE, a leader in creating the EV Charging Ecosystem to meet sustainable lifestyle needs, revealed that since mid-last year, the company has collaborated with Revo Automotive Co., Ltd., the distributor and after-sales service provider for BYD electric vehicles in Thailand, to rebrand all public EV charging stations and the SHARGE app to the new brand "RÊVERSHARGER." The company is fully committed to its RÊVERLUTION mission to propel Thailand towards a low-carbon society by expanding the EV charger network to support the rapid growth of electric vehicles and reaffirming its status as the number one provider of comprehensive EV charging solutions for all EV users.

Recently, the company has partnered with three major players in the electric vehicle and energy sectors: 1. Revo Automotive Co., Ltd. 2. Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited (BCP), an energy service provider under the Bangchak brand, and 3. Another energy service provider currently in negotiations. This partnership will expand the number of EV charging stations by an additional 370 locations with 1,320 charging points across 68 provinces, including major cities and secondary towns such as Central Region, Bangkok and surrounding areas, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Saraburi, Suphan Buri, Northern Region, Chiang Mai, Lampang, Kamphaeng Phet, Phitsanulok, Tak, Northeastern Region, Nakhon Ratchasima, Khon Kaen, Udon Thani, Buriram, Ubon Ratchathani, Eastern Region, Chonburi, Rayong, and Southern Region, Phuket, Krabi, Surat Thani, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Chumphon, etc.

The charging points at these 370 stations will feature direct current (DC) chargers with a maximum speed of up to 360kW, currently the fastest in the world. They will be distributed across three main categories: 1. Highway network to support long-distance travel at 50 Bangchak gas stations with an initial maximum charging speed of 120kW. 2. Urban network to support usage near commercial activity areas, including 60 stations at Bangchak gas stations and another 60 at other energy service provider stations. 3. In BYD electric vehicle showrooms, with 120kW chargers at 150 general showrooms and 360kW chargers at 50 special showrooms. The charging points at BYD showrooms can charge vehicles of any brand, not limited to BYD vehicles.
“One of the major concerns for those considering purchasing an EV is where to charge during long-distance travel, especially when crossing provinces. Will there be long queues? How long will the charging take? Today, we and our partners are joining forces under the RÊVERLUTION mission to expand stations covering important travel routes nationwide, which we call On-The-Go routes, all equipped with high-speed chargers to enhance convenience in every journey, complete the EV ecosystem, and instill confidence in current EV users as well as those planning to purchase EVs in the future,” said Mr. Pirapat.

At the same time, the continuous expansion of EV charging stations also builds confidence among BYD vehicle users and supports participation in the carbon credit program previously announced by Revo Automotive, which will have RÊVERSHARGER stations widely available to facilitate the use of carbon credits as discounts for charging EVs, one of the program's benefits. By the end of 2024, the company expects to have a total of 582 public EV charging stations with over 2,012 charging points, becoming the number one provider of EV charging solutions with the most comprehensive services and a nationwide service network.
Mr. Pirapat further stated that in addition to continuously expanding the network of EV charging stations, the company is also committed to developing the RÊVERSHARGER application to facilitate charging and travel for consumers. Recently, new features have been added, such as Trip Planning, which uses Google Maps to connect to the RÊVERSHARGER app, allowing users to find routes from their starting point to their destination while receiving recommendations for On-The-Go EV charging stations along the route or nearby, enhancing convenience and confidence in travel. The Customer Onboarding System allows for pre-registration of new electric vehicles into SHARGE's database to facilitate consumer usage, such as registering payment methods so that users can simply plug in the charger, which will automatically recognize the vehicle's make and model.
Currently, the RÊVERSHARGER app has over 40,000 registered users, with more than 4,000 active users. With the increasing demand for electric vehicles and the expansion of the service network nationwide in the future, it is expected that the number of app users will rise to 150,000 or more than 50% market share by the end of 2024.
