LPP Engages Community to Preserve Tradition with 'Eco-Friendly Loy Krathong'
LPP invites everyone to participate in the 'Eco-Friendly Loy Krathong' event to preserve tradition, strengthen relationships, and create activities that promote social and environmental responsibility. This initiative also supports the Ministry of Culture's (MOC) efforts to register the 'Loy Krathong Festival' as a cultural heritage of Thailand, making it a landmark for tourists worldwide.

Ms. Somsri Techakraisri, Managing Director of LPP Property Management Co., Ltd. (LPP), a leader in comprehensive real estate project management that emphasizes good relationships among residents alongside sustainable environmental and social responsibility, oversees more than 260 projects with over 300,000 residents. She highlighted the significance of the water festival 'Loy Krathong,' which falls on November 27, 2023, this year. It is an important tradition for Thai people to express gratitude and seek forgiveness from the Goddess of Water, who provides essential water for daily life. Additionally, it serves as a tradition and activity that fosters good relationships among family members of all ages, communities, and society, while also preserving culture.
This year, LPP has promoted the organization of Loy Krathong activities within the managed projects by inviting committee members, co-owners, and residents to participate in the 'Eco-Friendly Loy Krathong' concept, aiming to celebrate Thai traditions responsibly towards the environment and society. This initiative follows the 3 Pillars of Sustainability (Sustainable Development) or 3P, which includes Profit for appropriate budgeting, People for everyone involved in the activities, and Planet for environmental responsibility. Each project is encouraged to adopt these 3P principles as a foundation for creating beneficial activities for all residents in LPP-managed projects and to share these benefits with the broader community. Furthermore, it serves as a way to foster community activities and strengthen good relationships, allowing families to enjoy quality time together with their larger family, the residents of each condominium.
Additionally, LPP has launched a contest for creating 'Eco-Friendly Krathongs', inviting the general public to unleash their creativity in crafting eco-friendly krathongs using natural, biodegradable materials that are environmentally friendly, helping to reduce waste in rivers and canals in line with the 'Eco-Friendly' trend. Interested individuals can follow the details of the activities and submit their works via Facebook: LPP Property.

Ms. Somsri further stated that the Ministry of Culture (MOC) is preparing to propose the 'Loy Krathong Festival in Thailand' for registration as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 2024. LPP aims to be part of this support and promotion, ensuring that Thai culture, traditions, tourism, and lifestyle serve as a significant Soft Power mechanism that beautifully showcases the identity of Thai society.
“LPP is committed to caring for co-owners and residents across more than 260 projects to ensure they receive comfort, safety, and a high quality of life. Our motto is 'Smooth Your Living', alongside promoting social and environmental responsibility among residents and co-owners to drive the 'LPP Invites You to Love the Earth' initiative, spreading awareness to the external community through various activities throughout the year,” Ms. Somsri concluded.
