Pruksa Holding is committed to driving Thailand towards sustainable natural resource management by collaborating with the Mae Fah Luang Foundation under royal patronage to participate in a carbon credit management project in forests for sustainable development. This initiative receives support from the government, private sector, and communities to create thriving forests while providing sustainable income for local communities. This aligns with Pruksa Group's policy to conduct business aimed at sustainable growth, particularly in reducing environmental impacts, with a target to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 30% by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.

Participating in the carbon credit management project for sustainable development marks a significant step for Pruksa Group in contributing to resource conservation while aiding society. Leveraging the expertise of the Mae Fah Luang Foundation, which has nearly 40 years of experience, the project aims to enhance the quality of life for forest communities while addressing environmental issues in Thailand and globally. In 2023, the project received support from citizens in 77 community forests covering an area of 143,496 rai in Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Amnat Charoen, and Yasothon provinces, with approximately 100,000 rai eligible for carbon credit registration. The initiative involves 12,721 households and is supported by 14 leading private sector partners.

Mr. Udomsak Yaemnun, Executive Advisor of Pruksa Holding Public Company Limited, stated that as a part of society, Pruksa aims to make the community a better place and promote a warm society where everyone can live happily together. This aligns with the new vision and mission of Pruksa Group, framed under the concept of caring for all lives, “Live well Stay well.” Pruksa is committed to being a leader in reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 30% by 2030 and striving for carbon neutrality by 2050. Therefore, participating in the carbon credit management project for sustainable development is one of the roadmaps to achieve these goals while also improving the quality of life for community members and addressing issues like unemployment and household debt, which aligns with Pruksa's social objectives.

“Pruksa Group has adopted green technology, 'Carbon Cure,' to produce low carbon precast concrete panels using certified carbon footprint cement and ready-mixed concrete for construction. This has received recognition from the Greenhouse Gas Management Organization and includes a precast factory utilizing advanced automated technology based on the 'Zero Waste' concept, ensuring that residents in various projects built with low carbon precast panels receive quality and durable homes while also contributing to reducing pollution on the planet,” he added.

Mr. Udomsak further mentioned that in addition to collaborating with the Mae Fah Luang Foundation, Pruksa Group is also working with the Department of Forestry on the "Ecosystem Restoration for Carbon Credit Sharing" project, organizing activities for employees and executives to participate in ecosystem restoration through planting, nurturing, conserving, and rehabilitating forests over an area of 370 rai in Huai Bong, Dan Khun Thot District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. This initiative has brought pride to employees and executives as it embodies Pruksa's organizational culture of “Impact for Good,” focusing on doing good for positive outcomes. More than 600 employees have shown interest in participating, with expectations for increased involvement, leading to an extension of the activity until the end of 2023. This initiative aligns with the ESG concept, integrating environmental (Environment), social (Social), and governance (Governance) considerations into every aspect of work for the sustainability of society and the environment.
